MW2 good or bad?

Tue Jun 29, 2010 4:39 pm

Alright, I am not a COD fanboy, but I do not hate it. I Just will never play it since it's not my genre or style of game... BUT... I have a quesiton on MW2. At first when it came out everyone kept saying it was thousands of times better then Halo 3. Now all I here abtou MW2 is that it is the worst COD game and that MW1 is ten times better.

So which one is true? I also heard the maps suck because of bad layout and no cover.

Also isn't there a new COD game coming out called Black Ops. I heard it looked bad. Any truth to that?

I jus' wanna know. I don't care if it's your opinion or fact jus' say what you want to say so I can get an Idea of the COD game series.

I dunno about any of the games since I never played them or touched them other hten to move them form the shelf to the draw to make space for more played games.

Refer HERE for all relevant information and links about the new CoD:Black Ops game.

Personally i enjoy playing MW2 to get away from the pressure and stress of ranked halo games. CoD games do not have a trueskill ranking system like halo, you just rank up by playing more. Many now play MW2 since it is simply newer than H3, something different.

I am not a reliable source to talk about MW1, i never had nor played it, but yes most players liked the first much better from what i hear

And the whole world thought halo ce was better then halo 3. It's just different people don't like change and the few people that are totally unhappy are usually loudest

I really liked the MW1 and 2 even though they were a little short. I seem to be a bit better with the auto-aim though. Once I got into the habit of slap LT then pull RT the game pulled together so much more. I rarely get a head shot; I'd rather put 2 or 3 center of mass hits in than risk a sure kill or complete miss.

There's rampant cheating online w/ MW2; Bungie has done an excellent job of keeping the games clean, IMHO. Also, lagginess seems to be a more noticable factor sometimes. Plus, once you get a little ahead in skill, your powers are vastly over the new people, and people get frustrated and leave, or start cheating themselves. As for bad layout and no cover, I dunno. Some places are good to fight from, others make you pay to gain territory.

If you actually have the games, give the campaign a try. It's kinda the same and kinda different than Halo. You could probably do MW1 in a long weekend if you sat down with it. The buton layouts are pretty close. Overall, I really enjoy both. The storyline in 2 is a little farfetched; I haven't heard much about the plot of Black Ops. I'm pretty damn sure I'll just leave Black Ops in the store...

FWIW, I'm holding out for the new Medal of Honor!

MW2 is built for the casual gamer, not the competitive gamer. Regular public matches turn into a camp/noob tube/knifing fest. Every other person in public lobbies has everything unlocked from all of the 10th prestige lobbies. It became hard for me to find a game that wasn't a blow-out that I enjoyed playing, so I went back to Halo 3 and RDR.

Hard to say anything on Black Ops until we at least see some gameplay demos.

I love playing every little bit of Mw2, apart from people exploiting the game. But it happens in everygame, so i cant really complain ::lol::

I enjoy it but I seem to get very fustrated with all my multiplayer games lately. Bring on Reach we need something new.

Will also leave Black Ops at the store probably.

Black Ops isn't being developed by Infinityward so I'd give it a chance.

In my opinion, both statements are true. At least, they used to be. MW1 is still a better game than MW2. Despite the fact that you get more customization in MW2, it just feels like there was a more definitive skill curve in MW1. As for MW2 being better than Halo, I have to say that my opinion changes depending on how good I'm doing at each game and how many of my friends I'm playing with, but I think that Halo 3 is better because I've gotten angry at it less than I have for MW2.

By the way, that's pretty impressive since Halo 3's been out WAAAAAY longer than MW2.

Wow... cool thanks for the info. I jus' never really was interested and I wanted to know if people would make up their minds if MW2 is better or not. So thanks for telling me! I'm still not gonna try 'em out it's not my style of game.

I find it ten times more frustrating than Halo in any sense. I dunno, maybe it's just not the game for me.

The time has come, and so have I
