We also got some details about America for this game:

David Hinkle wrote:
It should come as no surprise that America is represented in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI. The Americans have been a fixture in the Civilization series since its inception 25 years ago, and in Civilization VI they are being led by the nation’s 26th president, Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt.

Roosevelt took office following the assassination of President McKinley in 1901 and, at the age of 42, became the youngest United States President in history – a record he still holds today. Roosevelt championed his “Square Deal” domestic policy, comprised of three basic ideals: the conservation of natural resources, greater control over corporate plutocracy, and consumer protection.

His efforts to regulate corporate “trust” monopolies earned him the nickname “trust buster.” He established the United States Forestry Service in 1905 and fought for the conservation of millions of acres of federal land, which are still protected to this day. Roosevelt also coined the iconic phrase "speak softly, and carry a big stick," describing his form of foreign policy of negotiating peacefully while simultaneously threatening with the "big stick." Roosevelt described this policy as “the exercise of intelligent forethought and of decisive action sufficiently far in advance of any likely crisis.”

Unique unit: P-51 Mustang

The P-51 “Mustang,” an aircraft created by America during World War II, was designed as a long-range, high-altitude fighter to serve in dogfights, escort bombers and even enact bombing missions on its own. The P-51 Mustang was able to outmaneuver the best German Luftwaffe fighters above 15,000 feet and even outlast the efficient Japanese fighters, and by 1943 the P-51 Mustang was in service on every American front.

Unique unit: Rough Rider

The 1st United States Volunteer Cavalry, better known by its colloquial moniker the “Rough Riders,” was a regiment recruited and raised by Theodore Roosevelt in 1898 AD to fight in the Spanish-American War. This volunteer regiment included 1,060 ranchers, cowboys, college athletes, miners and other rugged outdoorsmen hailing from New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Arizona.

Unique Building: Film Studio

Thomas Edison, the much vaunted American inventor and businessman, created the first film studio in West Orange, New Jersey back in 1893. His film studio was used to capture the amusing larks of vaudeville and theater actors, to display within penny arcades, fairground tents and unused theaters. By 1920, there were a dozen film studios in operation around Hollywood, California, each feeding what would become an American and global obsession with film.

I hope this is an indication that every civilization gets two unique units and a unique building. That would fit well with the unstacking of cities and the creation of districts. I am curious what the film studio replaces as the standard building. The P-51 Mustang definitely replaces the fighter, and the Rough Riders definitely replace the Cavalry unit.

Still no word on system requirements yet.

Here's an interview with the design lead, Ed Beech, with Gamespot:

The Civilization subreddit is maintaining a megathread with all the info. LINK

They also provided a link to this analysis site that's been collecting information as well. LINK

(probably)

Shame I'll probably have to stick it out with Civ IV for a while longer. Not that tha's a bad thing, but I really wish my computer was capable of running this.

Yeah, sorry. The B-17 is a unique American bomber in Civ 5.

Honestly I never played a whole lot of Civ, I played a lot of other RTS games, so although I am very excited for this games, I've probably forgotten all the mechanics and will have to learn from scratch. In either case I just love the sylisation of this game and the concept of it as a whole and even if I do suck at the game (which I probably will) at least the music is on point like so many of the other Civ games.

Apparently encampments in Civ 6 can have a Barracks OR a Stable, so you'll have to decide if you want to focus on training melee or mounted units at that encampment.

Also, Egypt may have the Sphinx as a unique tile improvement. Multiple were spotted in some screenshots.

Hojo Tokimune confirmed as leader for Japan.

Check out well of souls for some of the other info. We got some minor news about uniques for some of the Civs.

So Ed Beach has confirmed that there are 12 districts in the game, but the fans have only identified eleven so far (not including the City Center).

Here's the list, I've included the buildings that we know or suspect are going in that district. Also, it seems most districts have three buildings that go into them.

City Center - Monument, Granary, Water Mill, Palace
Holy Site: Shrine, Temple, Pagoda or Monastery or Cathedral or Mosque
Campus: Library, University, Research Lab
Harbor: Lighthouse, Seaport
Encampment: Barracks or Stable, Military Academy
Theater Square: Amphiteater, Film Studio (America), Museum?
Entertainment Complex: Zoo, Circus?
Commercial Hub: Market, Bank, Caravansary?
Industrial Zone: Workshop, Factory
Aqueduct: Sewers
Airport: Hotel?
Spaceport: Space Projects?
Unknown 12th District: ????

We just our first look at England:

Spoiler: show

Led by Victoria, England gets upgraded museums as an ability with archaeology.

Two specialty units, a Sea Dog which seems like a frigate era replacement that can commandeer other ships, and a Redcoat that is stronger on other continents and doesn't lose movement to disembark.

Really liking how nations seem built for more than one victory type going forward.

One of the unique unit for the United States is the opposite of England's unique unit.
That seems cheeky and appropriate :)

They released a first look video about Builders. Reiterates a lot of information and confirms builders embark to create fishing boats.
