Does the nose down still work in Reach? Does it work vs. Revenants?

I haven't had any success with it yet. It no-shielded my hog, but we ended up flipping everywhere and got wrecked on.

It definitely doesn't work on the Revenant. More often than not the hog rolls up over the nose. Your best bet with a revenant is to maintain distance so you can more easily dodge the mortars. If the Revenant is being escorted by a ghost, you're actually best off IGNORING the more powerful vehicle and leading the ghost away to kill him seperately, as his more accurate weaponry can take you out faster than a poorly placed mortar.

I firmly believe that the lack of hogging directly correlates to the scorpion, and we should see more of it in a couple weeks. Either you can't roll a hog because their tank is up, or you shouldn't roll a hog because your tank has things under control.

Yea.
The health system has changed from Halo3 and now vehicles have their own health. So attempting a nose down is not a good idea imo as you're just going to wreck yourself in the process. Any enemy forces are going to easily take you out with hitscan DMR's.

Certain areas of vehicles take more damage. Ie the Reaveant can take A LOT more fire in the front compared to the sides. Haven't fully tested this with the warthog but I imagine theres regions which take more damage than others.

I preferred the old health system. While this one is more realistic, I liked that skilled operators could keep a vehicle operational well past its prime. I feel like our opposites in Big Team who liked to spend hours holding objectives on randoms ruined this one for us. You can still go pretty far if you play smart, but you can usually count on having to abandon ship or burn.

The tank can last a whole game if the team backs it up enough that it doesn't take a lot of hits, but most of the smaller vehicles seem doomed. I killed the same banshee pilot twice in the same game by blowing up his banshee with DMR fire, and while I was glad I got him (He was pretty good) it felt cheap.

I used to take pride in my ability to destroy vehicles while on foot, it gave me a little boost every time they went against me and lost. I'm pretty sure I got them more often than they got me, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't by a small margin. Now killing them feels like poaching an endangered species.

I think we will see less of the vehicle specialists that we saw in H3. Yeah the Reveneant is cool but I doubt there will be a lot of perfectables done in it or in banshees. Warthogs will great. Spawn times for the hogs are better for us. So worry lees about it being in the wrong teammates hands. It will come back to us soon enough.

We did some experimenting today. Nose down definitely does not work on anything larger than a ghost.

I've had some success if the other hog has the high ground, and you hit it with the front corner of your hog. Usually on Spire, or right in the middle of Hemorrhage it will spin the other hog out of control and destroy it. but then the driver of the other hog usually get's ejected since you get ejected about .00001 seconds after two wheels leave the ground. And then you're screwed since a hog without a driver is invincible.
