My hockey daughter goalie video

Sat Apr 09, 2016 9:55 pm

I promised to posted this last night. I'm sure criporc will see a lot of problems with her goalie technique.

This a tournament final game where my daughter was playing goal and had a crazy game in net. This is just one games worth of saves.

Bro this is epic on so many levels! When did she start playing hockey? Watching it gave me that proud parent feel just like with my little one's. So glad she's doing well keep up the great coaching...

Thanks for that. I know what you mean on the proud parent thing, I'm very proud. She stated skating when she was 4, two years earlier than my son started and it shows.

Funny thing is, she plays win now instead of goalie.

I'll never stop coaching, even after my kids grow up I'll dive back in and give back to the programs that have supported my kids and I.

Ice hockey is pretty simple put the luck in the other teams net... The only rules that are slightly confusing are off sides and icing

1:39 pulled a Hank! Way to use your head, Ava!

By the way, your daughter is my new hero. I'm a small dude and just got caught up doing other things in life, and I wish more than anything that I had stuck with playing hockey growing up. I played roller hockey until I aged out, and then I played ice for two years, but 5AM rink time an hour away was just too much.

Once my career gets going and I'm a bit more stable I definitely want to start coaching, maybe even start hitting the gym and play in a casual adult league.

I'll make sure I tell her that she's your new hero!

Is the closest rink really an hour away for you?
If so that sucks. A lot of the rinks around here have adult learn to play sessions, so if you have the chance you should look into that. I learned to skate playing roller hockey but now I play hockey once a week and am on the ice coaching 2-4 times.

I'm still impressed by this the second time I watched it. She has great movement, and from what I saw she doesn't give up on plays.
When I grow up to be a Waterfall, I'm gonna wear a helmet.
