pretty good list. are you into power/symphonic metal at all, or anything with harsh vocals?

I love queen! I listen to System of a Down every once in a while, and rammstein sometimes. But i'm not a fan of metallica.

alright let's finally go through this
Metallica - Sanitarium (Welcome Home)
Master of Puppets is such a classic metal album. This isn't my favorite song from it, but that's not really saying much--on pretty much any other album it would be my favorite. I do love the emotion in this song, especially in how much heavier it gets during the chorus. IMO it's not as good as Battery, The Thing That Should Not Be, or Orion, but it's still a fantastic song.

Rammstein - Feuer Frei
Rammstein is another favorite of mine. This song always looks so fun live! I really like their pyrotechnics. Not sure if I agree with you that they're getting worse, as "Du Hast" is relatively new and a great song, but Mutter is still probably my favorite album of theirs.

System of a Down - Toxicity
This time you've definitely picked my favorite song by the band. Also the third song in a row with slower, quieter verses and faster, heavier choruses... but I think it works pretty well in all three. I've always thought this song ended oddly though.

Sabaton - Ghost Division
Ah, power metal... so over the top, but I love it! I had never heard of this band before but I really enjoy this song. The backstory is also pretty neat. Do you have any other albums by them, and if so, which do you think is the best to get first?

Queen - I Want to Break Free
I'm not really a big fan of Queen, but this isn't a bad song, just not my taste. The video is really weird though, you're right there.

Excellent [mostly] metal list Soundwave!

The 2005 album "Rosenrot" was ok good songs and less good songs on there but their 2009 album "Liebe ist für alle da" was a letdown for me. Aaaaaand the song "Du hast" is on the 1998 album "Sehnsucht" (great album)and that's not new :D

The end is fine for me,i think there are worse songs with worse ends :)

I got 4 of their 5 studio albums "The Art of War (re-armed)","Attero Dominatus(re-armed)","Primo Victoria (re-armed)" and "Coat of Arms" i would recommend 1 of he first 3 i named they are just awesome.
Their Live album is released soon.

Metallica
I love Metallica and that's a fairly recent thing for me. Few guitarists and hard rock bands would have the legendary status that Kirk Hammett & Metallica have respectively. What I love about this song, and many other Metallica songs is the flow of the beautiful guitar melodies to the driving heavy rock. Great song. (Guitar Hero: Metallica is fun btw)

Rammstein
Rammstein is not a band I've heard very much from but I do believe this song was in a movie. (XXX maybe?) As evidenced by the multiple viral Angry Hitler videos floating around the net, there's something really brutal about the sound of an angry German. I like this song and the band, they're quite good at what they do really, but I don't think it's something I'd listen to more than occasionally.

System of a Down
Love this song, love this band. If you ever get the chance to see them live do it; it's one of the top 5 shows I've ever seen and the best Hard Rock show I've ever seen. They played almost the whole Toxicity album that night - 90 minutes, 20+ songs, without a break. (Was also pretty wild hearing 40,000 people scream the F word at the same time) I first heard this song on a Tony Hawk game I think. With all the punk on those games I would replay this and a select few songs over & over & over again. I think Toxicity has to be one my all time favorite albums.

I especially like the drums in this song; it really showcases the drummer's talent. And Serj's voice & vocal style is great in this song as it is in many of their songs. I do like the ending of the song.

Sabaton
Never heard this song or band before. I think the electric sound/keyboards whatever they are in this song may be a bit much; I'd like the song more if it were a bit more subdued. I like his vocal style. I am kind of a WW2 movie/history buff so the backstory on this is pretty interesting.

Queen
Queen is a really cool band. I've been meaning to buy a Queen collection for a long time but I never got around to it. Agreed, it is a shame Freddie died; he is a great talent. I can't say I like this song as much as some of their others, (legendary songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites The Dust) but it's a decent song.

Lars I've enjoyed your high five more than most. Thanks for sharing

First of all. Thanks alot, wonder why I never replied anymore, btw still haven't seen System of a Down live :( .

Well,I thought to myself "why not reviewing my High 5 and see what changed after all those years."

600 songs? LOL I have more than that on just my MP3 player. I have easily 3 times more than then but if I want to do another one then it will be even harder to filter songs out...
I have found so many new bands and dived deep into Heavy Metal and its sub-genres. Biggest change is probably that I listen to much heavier stuff than I used to back then but also found admiration in alot of classic Bands that Influenced Metal or are closely related to it. Bands like Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin,Nirvana, Pearl Jam or Dio. I also got quite a good knowledge about Bands, their History or Metal history in general. The best source would be the DVD collection "Evolution of Metal".10/10 .

This song has still a high standing but like I stated above I moved on and today I would probably rate "... and Justice for all" as my favourite Song of Metallica now. It's a 10 minute Riff galore with a strong lyrics and meaning and overall more agressive.
Got to pleasure to see them live in July of 2014 and they put out a hell of a show. In the middle of the show it begin to rain and to flash. "Sadly" they played "Ride the Lightning" before it started. People went crazy with every lightning strike, good times.

Not many words to say about this one. I only occasionally listen to Rammstein anymore. Feuer Frei is still a great Song but can't compete with the heavy stuff I use to blast my ears nowadays. Also got to see Rammstein live at the Wacken open air in 2013. BEST SHOW EVER, no seriously go watch it. the pyrotechnics are outstanding.

Pretty much the same as Rammstein. Still fav. song of them. Still have the sweater and shirt. They are going on tour next year again but to no festival I would like to attend D: and they are working on a new album, Insta buy most certainly.

They grew to be one of my most heard Bands and are also the Band I saw Live the most. Have every album and not tired off them yet. While I still like this song it's by far not my favourite anymore. They always use it as the first Song of their shows and I really think they would be good with changing this, they have so many great songs. This one a the very few bands that have no "bad albm" in my opinion, they always stayed true to what they do and how they do it. New fav. Song of them iss a close between two Songs.

Those 2 give the goosebumps everytime. The first one is about the Vietnam war and the second about the man with the little mustache.
