Containment



Containment comprises your forward slayers. These people hold the line and keep the enemy team trapped on their side of the map. Relying heavily on active teamshot, no one gets through their BR line.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
  • Hold the middle base (high ground)
  • Aid in armory pushes by pushing the forward line in tandem with the Assault and Backup squads
  • Keep the enemy contained to their side of the map by taking strong power-slaying positions.

ROLES:
  1. Anchor BR- This is the primary BR of the C squad. The Anchor will hold the strongest position at a base and pour shots on any enemy spawning or making a push to the base C is holding. Also the shot caller of C squad.
  2. Support BR- Hold the direct flank of the Anchor BR. Generally, the support BR will be within close proximity of the Anchor BR to create a powerful team shot lane and neutralize enemies quickly.
  3. Flank BR- The Flank BR will often be working solo, but within range of the rest of the Containment squad. Their primary goal is to find a position which allows them to shoot enemies attacking the Anchor and Support BR in the back and to clean up enemies that fall into cover after having engaged the rest of C squad.

Raid on Apex-7



INITIAL GOAL: Clear the right side of the beach, and then push the enemy Armoury as fast as possible.

Red Team

Ideal start:

Containment clears the AI on the right side of the home base, and then Anchor BR gets on the mongoose with an Assault player. Then rides along the beach all the way to Pride Rock. Exits the mongoose, and jumps onto East Armoury. I like to go to the third floor right away, and put a few shots on people exiting Cliffside (1), while at the same time keeping an eye on the approach from Nest (2).

Support and Flank BRs: Run along the beach, and turn LEFT at the first intersection, then move through Spire Tunnel. Cut off anyone moving from nest to East Armoury (3), then move to assist the capture.

Upon Success: Containment's job to hold it while Assault and Backup capture Spire. Anchor BR remains on third floor, watches the approach from nest, and if a long range BR is available, can shoot at the hunters or enemies on the Spire.
Support BR covers the approach from Cliffside either from down low, or on top of the Armoury.
Flank BR alternates between the front and back of the Armoury, responding to callouts from Anchor and Support. Be ready to be sent to Spire, if the situation calls for it.

After Spire cap: Support and Flank BRs will push along Cliffside to the enemy base. Anchor remains at or near the Armoury, and responds to big pushes through nest, or gives covering fire for Support and Flank. This would be a good time for a banshee/ghost/gungoose, if you're into that sort of thing. Just make sure to keep an eye on East Armoury.


If the Armoury assault fails:

Anchor BR will call for Flank and Support to shift to Spire. We want to be in between Spire and their Armoury.

Anchor BR Will hold this rock here, and shoot people as they are landing or moving up towards spire. Keep an eye on people entering tunnel, and call them out to your hog team and Support BR.

Support BR will be bottom spire close to the tunnel, teamshooting with Anchor and keeping an eye on the tunnel.

Flank BR will move under the enemies Nest. Keep an eye on your radar, and call out if anyone pushes out of the Nest for the Anchor to swing around and teamshoot with you. Flank will also listen for an Assault callout to push the Armoury, which you can support.

  • Initiating the set up against tough opponents, or alternate setup for Tunnel heavy pushes:

    Spawn at the Home Base, and move out through the nest. All three of us will rally here (1). If you get here first, put shots on enemies trying to jump up top, or going for Req room, but most importantly stay alive until the rest of the squad arrives.

    Once rallied, Support BR will remain at the rally point.

    Anchor BR will move across when its safe, to where they can put shots on people going up this ramp (2), landing, and Tunnel (3).

    Flank BR will move all the way around the front of the Spire, and get in position to watch the Landing (4), and can push up to flank people as they enter the Tunnel (5).

If enemy holds their Armoury and Spire:

Anchor BR will hold this little rock here. It's a tough position to hold on your own, but with help from Support, Flank BR, and Defence, it should be manageable.

Support BR will be in Nest, putting shots on spire and covering Anchor BR.

Flank BR will be all the way over here by Chasm/Ridge Bridge. You can put fire on top Spire, and cover Anchor from their left side. This is a pretty forward position as well, so it would be a great place for a Plasma Pistol.

Blue Team:

Ideal Start:

Containment clears the AI on the right side of the base, and then rides with an Assault mongoose on the right side of the beach to the Chasm to the West Armoury. If things go well, you can push up onto the cliffs, and watch Cliffside (1), or the Nest (2).

Support and Flank run through the Chasm, then on top of the Armoury.

Support remains on top and looks Cliffside.

Flank moves across the road by the Anchor BR to shoot transitioning enemies from Nest in the back, or help Anchor with Cliffside.

This same setup is how we hold it, after we own it. Flank BR, be ready to mancannon to Spire if needed.
Core pushes are the same. Flank and Support push along cliffside, and Anchor holds the armoury.


Positions if capping their Armoury fails:

Anchor BR will call for Flank and Support to shift to Spire. We want to be in between Spire and their Armoury.

Anchor BR will hold this rock, getting shots on Nest and Landing to the left (1), and people trying to push Ridge Bridge and Flank BR on the right (2) .

Support BR will be in this area, getting crossfire on jumpers, and shooting people as they rush up the rock. Keep an eye on your back, and call out people coming out of their Nest.

Flank BR will hold a forward Ridge Bridge position, getting some crossfire on jumpers and people trying to run up this rock, while at the same time watching a sneakier push out of their Armoury through Chasm.

If the enemy controls their Armoury and Spire:

Containment will spawn at the home base, and push out through the Nest.
Anchor BR will position behind this rock. Don't let anything past you.

Support BR can remain in Nest and BR people on top of Spire, and cover Anchor next to the rock on the left. This would be a good place for a Plasma Pistol.

Flank BR can push out to this area here by the Tunnel. A push through Tunnel towards you will be very dangerous, so make sure to call it out, and try to draw the enemies out to where the Anchor can teamshoot with you.

If we hold Spire but not their Armoury:

Anchor holds same position as in the above situation where we don't control their Armoury. Support stays on Spire where they can see Anchor. Flank roams, taking care of business wherever business needs taken care of. Be prepared to push the enemy's Armoury, or to be sent to help secure a Legendary Boss on the Beach.


March on Stormbreak



INITIAL GOAL: Secure top of Fortress to secure Lochagos and base.

Start:

Containment needs to push the Big Door of Fortress, by going along our Walkway. The Backup hog will be driving right next to you on the lower part of the Walkway, so stay out of the way by running through the boxes. Once at Big Door, take out as many watchers as you can, and the soldiers by our Side Door. Try to leave the soldiers by the enemy Side Door alive if they aren't being a huge threat to you or your teammates.

Flank BR then moves down our Stairs to the bottom Req station, to support the push for Lochagos by shooting any enemy that moves. Stay mobile, watch out for soldiers and their Promethean grenades.

Anchor and Support will hold Big Door and the enemy Side Door, and kill any enemy that moves in the top of the Fortress. Make sure to keep an eye on the enemy's Walkway, because Backup 3 will probably be in that area and they could use some help.


Holding Fortress:

Anchor and Support BR will watch Big Door, shieldswapping and teamshooting towards Walkway (1). From Big Door you can also shoot at people coming from Anvil/Dirt Road (2).

Flank BR will be holding Side Door. They get good angles into people pushing from Walkway, as well as Anvil/Dirt Road. Keep an eye on your radar, and if you see people moving in through the bottom, move to destroy them.

Pushing their Armoury from Fortress.

Anchor and Support will be pushing along walkway, while Flank moves along the base of the Anvil to Finger.

The way this push works is that Flank will put crossfire on enemies transitioning to Walkway (1), while Anchor and Support teamshoot to protect the Flank BR (2). Try and stay behind the rocks or crates, to limit the amount of incoming fire.

Next, Anchor BR will climb into the Stargate, and put shots on people towards crane, top of their Armoury, their side of Stargate (1), and Tunnel side as well (2). From up here, you can also easily jump on top of their Armoury to help out Assault with the cap.

Flank will move to low Stargate, watching mostly towards Crane to keep Support safe.

Support will remain on Walkway, making sure to keep the people on Stargate safe.

When the enemy holds their Armoury and Fortress:

Anchor BR will set up on our Stargate, which offers lanes of fire on all approaches. Make sure to keep Support BR on Walkway alive.

Support will be on Walkway, being careful not to be seen from Big Door too often. It's very easy to be teamshot and grenaded out if they know you are there. Your job is to shoot people in the side as they try to get to our finger.

Flank BR will be at our finger, putting shots on people as they push Walkway.

Pushing Fortress:

Anchor and Support will push towards Big Door, while keeping the enemy pinned inside the Side Door. Flank BR can put some crossfire on people at Big Door through Side Door (1). Once inside, set up the same as holding the Fortress.

Escape from A.R.C.



INITIAL GOAL: Counter enemy Armory rush, then push their Armory and suppress transition to Garage.

Start:

Containment will rush the enemy Armoury by jumping on top of ours, and then moving right over or to the Garage side of the Rocks. Then we jump up to the top of the enemy Armoury, and set up to contain it.
What the setup looks like. 4th person is an Assault (noob).

Anchor BR will be on the third floor, watching the front.

Support BR will be on the roof of the Armoury itself, or on the Dirt Ramp. You can quickly drop down to clear out anyone who makes it inside.

The Flank BR will be positioned in the Lockers, watching for a push through there (1), and assisting Anchor and Support if needed by putting shots on the Armoury (2).

This same setup can be used when the Armoury is capped, and Containment is set to hold it.


If the push to the Armoury fails, Containment will move to keep enemies out of the Garage:

Anchor will set up at the bottom of their Rock, putting shots on people as they leave their Armoury.

Support and Flank will move inside the bottom of the Garage, and clear it of AI and enemy players (just the bottom floor) .

Then, Support will set up at the base of Dirt Ramp, setting up crossfire with the Anchor.

Flank will move to the shortcut/other side of the tunnel, and keep an eye on shortcut and Support BR.

Holding the Garage:

Anchor will set up on G3 (Garage Roof), putting fire on people at their Armoury, and in transition to Garage or our Armoury. You can see a lot from here, so make sure to call out people pushing through Shed, or if anyone made it through to the Garage.

Support will be G3 in a position where you can see Tunnel and Shortcut, making sure we don't get enemies coming up to the G3 with us. You can teamshoot with Anchor periodically, as long as you keep an eye on us. Having a Plasma Pistol or another anti-vehicle weapon up here is very useful.

Flank will hold G1 (bottom floor of Garage). There is easy access to a Req station, so be ready to spawn a base clearing or anti-vehicle weapon. You will be sent to attack the enemy Armoury when Assault calls for a push.

When the enemy controls their Armoury and Garage, Containment will spawn at the home base, and push through tunnel:

Anchor and Support will set up to put covering fire on the Garage Balcony/Window (1), to make an opening for the Flank BR or Assault to push out to Shortcut, where they cover Support's transition (2).

Support moves to this area, and sets up fire to cover Anchor's transition.

We can more safely transition all 3 Containment this way, with two people shooting at the Balcony/Window/G3 while the third runs across. When we are all in position, we can climb to G3. Once here, Anchor and Support will set up to cover our Armoury, and Flank will be in charge of preventing enemies from getting to G3 with us. Flank can also take pot shots on people in G2 through the hole in the roof, just to aggravate the enemies.


Battle of Noctus



INITIAL GOAL: Secure Monument via Bridge

Start:
Spoiler: show
It is recommended for Containment to pick up Plasma Pistols or Storm Rifles off of the enemies in the Home Base.
Then push through the mancannons to our Walkway, then across the Bridge to Monument. Flank BR can jump from Bridge and climb up Sneaky for an extra entry point.

Start clearing the AI, and stick to the left side of the Monument to prepare for the enemy team. We want to draw attention to the left side, in order to make Assault's push from below the Monument more effective. As soon as we stop the initial push, Flank and Anchor BR will push the enemy's Bridge to their Walkway, and stop the secondary push there. Support BR remains in Monument until it is captured, and then follows to Walkway. At this point, Flank BR can help the Assault team push the right Garage if it hasn't been captured yet and it sounds like they could use some help.


When holding Left Garage and Monument:

Anchor sets up in their Elbow, and shoots at anyone and anything that tries to come out of the enemy Garage.

Flank is positioned on the enemy Walkway keeping an eye on their Home Base, and calling out vehicles and pushes that originate here. Call out jumpers so Anchor BR can turn around and teamshoot them with you.

When don't hold Monument:

Containment will be spawning at home, and attempting to hold our Walkway and keep enemies off our Bridge. This limits the amount of fire the enemy can put on Left Garage, allows us to put shots on people transitioning towards that Garage, and is a constant nuisance to the people in Monument. If there is an opening, we will push and attempt to capture the Monument.

The setup for holding this area is as follows.
