Warzone Bosses

Part One: The Basics

What are Bosses?
Bosses are NPC enemies that will spawn into a Warzone match that award VP. A large portion of your team's points will come from these enemies.

Are some bosses harder than others? Are they worth different points?
Yes, some Bosses are gonna be slightly geared up enemies that can easily be taken down with one or two people, while others will be much more powerful and require more teamwork.
They are also worth different amounts of points. Most Bosses are 25 points, while Legendary Bosses are worth 150 points.

Where will they spawn?
Simple answer, a variety of places. Some bosses will spawn in pairs on matching locations for each team to nab, while others will only spawn one in a central location for both teams to fight over.

Is there a system, or is it random?
There is a system. Each map has it's own specific boss spawns, which will always come in at the same places at the same time every match.
More specifically the first Boss will spawn after you clear your Home Base, while the others will spawn every two minutes starting two minutes into a match. There are a total of ten bosses, with the final one always being the Warden Eternal.

Part Two: The Specifics

Now that you've got a basic understanding of what the bosses are, let's really get into this.

Each map is different, but still follows a system. Now the Bosses that spawn are gonna have unique names for each map, but many of them are the same fight just in a different place. Basically fighting the Knight Champion is about the same as fighting the Knight Marshal.

The first Boss is gonna spawn in a bit differently than the rest, and depends on the map. This will be explained with the guide for each boss, but basically goes as follows...

Apex 7 - Two hunters will spawn at Spire almost immediately after the the first team clears their Home Base.
A.R.C. - An Elite will come in from a Drop Ship 15 seconds after you clear YOUR base. (There is an Elite for both teams)
Stormbreak - A 30 second alert will pop up for a Knight (Commander Lochagos) spawning in the Fortress immediately after the first team clears their Home Base.

After this, a boss is gonna spawn in at two minutes in, and another every two minutes after that. The Home Base clear does not determine the interval for this.

For Bosses that are worth 25 points you will need to be near their spawn and will get an alert 15 seconds beforehand, and another as they spawn in.
Legendary Bosses are worth 150 points, and will be given a map-wide alert 30 seconds beforehand, another 10 seconds beforehand, and a final one as they spawn in.

Apex 7 Boss Specifics
Spoiler: show
Base Clear - Covenant Enemies (12)
Strategy: This is probably the trickier Base Clear of the three maps, simply because it takes place outside of the base and it's easy to miss one or two enemies.
Each side will spawn on the beach of their base, with 12 enemies to eliminate in order to unlock your base. People who spawn on the left side can focus on taking out the three Elites and two Grunts on their way to the Armory, while middle and right spawn can take out the two center Jackals along with the right side Elites and Grunts.
With a little coordination and focus, you can make this a clean sweep and a quick base capture.

B1 00:00 Boss - Hunters (Hunter Elders) (25 Points Each)Support: Two Elites and Two Grunts 10 seconds after Hunters spawn.
Location: Spire, immediately after first team clears base.
Strategy One: Hunters as a whole in Warzone are hard to kill, especially in this case so early in the match. General teamwork and coordination to distract the Hunters to attack them from behind will eventually bring them down.
Strategy Two: Assault can coordinate and bring a Needler to the fight. One person distracts, the other shoots it in the back. Well placed shots will bring the Hunter down in no time.
Strategy Three: Assault/Defense can wait until the Zealot Assassins have spawned, take the swords from those fights, and use them on the Hunter. A few hits to the back will bring them down. You can then also use the sword to defend the Spire. Neat!

B2 02:00 Boss - Elite (Zealot Assassin) x2 (25 Points)
Support: Two Camo Elites, all three have Stormrifles and Swords.
Location: Caves and Passage, 2:00
Strategy One: Defense can set someone up with limited support outside of the cave, to sit at the boss spawn and give the Zealot a quick back tap. Assault can do the same strategy, but on their side of the map.
Strategy Two: On spawn, take one of the Plasma Pistols from the Jackals, and hold it until the Assassins spawn. Two overcharged shots will bring down it's shields, and a simply headshot will bring him down.
Strategy Three: Kill one of the Elites supporting him, and take either their Sword or Stormrifle to bring him down. Be careful with the Sword, as it will take more than one hit if the Zealot is at full shields.
Strategy Four: Shoot him. Pretend you're playing Legendary Campaign, and just gun down this damn Elite. Just remember that Catch is on, and they're gonna throw a lot of Grenades at you.

B3 04:00 Boss - Elite (Elite Ultra) x2 (25 Points)
Support: Comes from Drop Ship equipped with Fuel Rod and Scattershot, along with two Jackals with Carbines, and one Jackal with Plasma Pistol and Shield.
Location: Plateau and Crags, 4:00
Strategy One: Defense may spawn either a Scout Hog or a Ghost for an easy Splatter on our side, while Assault may do the same for their side.
Strategy Two: If Backup currently has a Hog up, and is not presently engaged with anything too serious, they may break off and Splatter/Gun Down the boss.
Strategy Three: Try to avoid this strategy. Just shoot him. Be wary of the Jackals with Carbines, and be sure to dodge his Fuel Rod Gun. He will also bring out his Scattershot if you get too close.

B4 06:00 Boss - Ghost (Ghost Marauder) x2 (25 Points)
Support: Boss is in Sword Ghost.
Location: Waterfront and Ridge, 6:00
Strategy One: Defense is in the best position to take this out fairly quickly. Spawn any Anti-Vehicle weapon and take out the ghost.
Strategy Two: If we don't own the enemy Armory at this time, Assault may want to use the same tactics for the enemy boss but with more aggression. A good Hog run, or a couple ghosts will also help take it out very quickly and help deal with enemy Spartans.

B5 08:00 Boss - Wraith (Tankmaster Rok) (150 Points)
"Rok Johnson"
Support: Comes from Drop Ship with two Elites, and one gunner in turret, using a Sword Wraith.
Location: Beach, 8:00
Strategy One: This can be done any number of ways, but the basic idea is someone will hit the Wraith with overcharged Plasma Pistol shots repeatedly until Tankmaster Rok exits the vehicle. Once he does, someone else will immediately splatter him and get the points without dealing with the wraith. Be careful as one of his support members may enter the wraith after Rok is dead.
Strategy Two: Hit the wraith with slow damage, then coordinate with the team to place a few powerful shots all at once as his health is low to take it.

B6 10:00 Boss - Banshee (Banshee Raider) x2 (25 Points)
Support: Boss is in Sword Banshee, with two regular Banshees.
Location: Waterfront and Ridge, 10:00
Strategy One: Same as the Ghost Marauders, Defense should be best setup for these. Assault Rifle shots to bring down the shield, Anti-Vehicle weapons to bring the Banshee down.
Strategy Two: If we do not own the enemy Armory, Assault may want to use the same tactics but more aggressively. Heavy vehicles can also make short work of these bosses.

B7 12:00 Boss - Phaeton (Captain Hestro) (150 Points)
Support: Warps in with two Promethean Soldiers with Splinter Turrets.
Location: Beach, 12:00
Strategy One: This is difficult to pull off, but can be the strongest tactics against Hestro. If one player can successfully Plasma Pistol him and keep it up, he will eventually leave the vehicle like Rok and will be a Solider you can just splatter. Be sure you're ready to splatter him immediately, as he will be open to the enemy taking him just as easily.
Strategy Two: Drain his health slow, or let the enemy team hit him with power weapons until he's at low health. Coordinate with teammates and hit him with a few power weapon shots all at once.

B8 14:00 Boss - Soldier (Soldier Guard) x2 (25 Points)
Support: Spawns with two Soldiers, Boss has Splinter Turret.
Location: Chasm and Tunnel, 14:00
Strategy One: Assault can spawn power weapons and hit the soldiers, or even vehicles to Splatter them.
Strategy Two: If Backup still has a Hog running, they may hit both bosses for quick kills.
Strategy Three: Anyone can hit them with a power weapon/vehicle, or even Assassinate the boss if someone else distracts them.

B9 16:00 Boss - Knight (Knight Champion) (25 Points)
Support: Spawns with Scattershot.
Location: Crossroads, 16:00
Strategy One: The Knight will have a glowing spot on each of his shoulders, which are weak and will give you critical damage. Eventually the shoulder will break, but when both are down he will gain another weak spot on his back which will last until his death. His head will also be vulnerable as he yells. At this point, he will also be vulnerable to an Assassination which can be used for an easy take down.
Strategy Two: Use of Power Weapons and vehicles will bring his health down quickly, coordination with team for timing on the last few Power Weapon shots will kill him quickly.

B10 18:00 Boss - Warden Eternal (150 Points)
Support: Spawns with two Knights with Scattershots.
Location: Crossroads, 18:00
Strategy One: Warden Eternal is quite the bullet sponge. Power Weapons and vehicles will bring his health down, but slowly. Precision weapons will need to be focused on his weak spots, and you will want to keep your distance from him. He will use his sword if people get too close to him, will use a laser at a distance, and throw out a warp field at a distance that has a large area of a effect damage. The key here is just like every fight, bring him down low then hit him with everything at once. Once low enough, Warden will be wounded and a large energy disruption will show up on his back. At this point, you CAN Assassinate him and end the fight quicker.

A.R.C. Specifics
Spoiler: show
Base Clear - Promethean Enemies (10)
Strategy: Each team is gonna have two Crawlers to deal with, while the right side is gonna have four soldiers that spawn up top, two below. The soldiers will run to the center real quick when pressed, so if the middle and left teams just clear out their crawlers then break for the middle area, it should be a clean sweep.

B1 00:00 Boss - Elite (Sangheili General) x2 25 PointsSupport: Two Jackals with Needlers.
Location: Relay Tower and Comm Tower, 15 seconds after Base Clear
Strategy One: If you make it to him in a timely mannor you can beat the elite down.

B2 02:00 Boss - Elite (Ranger Commander) x2 25 PointsSupport:Two Ranger Elites.
Location: Mineshaft and Dig Site, 2:00
Strategy One: You should try to arrive at the boss about 10-15 seconds before spawn (you should leave the armory 30 seconds before 2min mark as Boss Slayer) to give a cuahion time for enemy players. If you postion with your back against the wall the elite spawns in front of you can beat down both of his minions before he spawns as well as the boss himself in under 6 seconds.
Strategy Two Spawn Needlers with a teammate and team shot the elites.

B3 04:00 Boss - Promethean Soldier (Soldier Enforcer) x2 25 PointsSupport:Two Soldiers and a Watcher, Boss spawns with Splinter Turret.
Location: Grotto and Loading Bay, 4:00
Strategy One: Spawn a Ghost/Scout Hog by the 3:30 mark and prepare a splatter. The loading bay spawn is significantly easier to splatter and does not require the boss to move for the kill, therefore i suggest killing that one first.
Strategy Two: Leave the base on foot and beat down the first of the two. You can then use the minion's suppressors for an easy kill on the second.

B4 06:00 Boss - Banshee (Baron 'Sraom) 150 PointsSupport:Boss spawns in Sword Banshee
Location: Crane Pit, 6:00
Strategy One: Spawn a spartan laser and have a teammate take down the banshee's shields. Work the health down to about 2/3 of the bar. A single laser shot, if hit properly, shoukd finish the boss.

B5 08:00 Boss - Knight (Knight Marshal) x2 25 PointsSupport:Three Crawlers and a Watcher.
Location: Mineshaft and Dig Site, 8:00
Strategy One: Kill the crawlers and watcher first. You can pick up their suppressors which are extremely effective against knights. Well placed shots will knock off the shoulder guards and expose the weakspot on its back and will also expose a weakpoint in his face for just a second. A few shots to either will end it.
Strategy Two Use a Ghost/Wraith and shoot the weak spots for a very quick kill.

B6 10:00 Boss - Ghost (Patrol Leader) x2 25 PointsSupport: Three Grunts with Needlers, Boss Spawns in Sword Ghost.
Location: Relay Tower and Comm Tower, 10:00

B8 14:00 Boss - Hunters (Remnant Hunter) 25 Points EachSupport: None.
Location: Mineshaft and Dig Site, 14:00
Strategy One: A wraith can kill these bosses the fastest and will allow for this boss to be a single person takedown.
Strategy Two: Bring a teammate, both of you should have swords/needlers. One should draw aggro and keep the hunters apart and the other hit it in the back. After one has been killed, switch roles and repeat.

B9 16:00 Boss - Knight (Knight Dignitary) x2 25 PointsSupport:
Location: Grotto and Loading Bay, 16:00
Strategy One:
Strategy Two:

B10 18:00 Boss - Warden Eternal 150 PointsSupport:

B1 00:00 Boss - Knight (Commander Lochagos) 150 Points
Support: The fortress itself has quite a few enemies already in it, three Crawlers at each of the three top entrances, two Soldiers with a Watcher on the top hanging platforms and at the rear of the base. Lochagos will spawn in the back with an Incineration Cannon.
Location: Fortress, 30 seconds after first Base Clear
Strategy One: While clearing the home base you should attempt to find splinter grenades and a suppressor. If you attain these you should run to the fortress. When you arrive try to clear the watchers as they will catch your grenades. Also be sure that warden is not on his highest position. When he jumps down you are less likely to miss the grenades. The splinter grenades will open his critical and leave him very weak. Unload the suppressor on him for an easy clean up..
Strategy Two: If you don't have splinter grenades then continually shoot the orange disks on his shoulders until they pop off. When they do he will scream revealing a headshot opportunity which will instantly kill him. If you miss this opportunity then aim for his back.

Support: Two Camo Elites, Boss has a Sword.

Strategy Two: Spawn a scout hog/ghost and line up with the boss marker but from the side. you can splatter all 3 elites instantly.

B4 06:00 Boss - Knight (Knight Luminary) x2 25 points
Support: Two Soldiers.
Location: Frozen Cave and Ice Cavern, 6:00
Strategy One: Spawn a man-turret and aim for the orange disks on the shoulders of the knight to reveal the weakpoints.

B5 08:00 Boss - Banshee (Captain Wamik) 150 Points
Support: Boss spawns in Sword Banshee.

Strategy One: Try to draw aggro to your dominant side of the map. Have lasers/railguns on standby. Once his shields go down anyone with a power weapon should coordinate fire to prevent it from being stolen at weak health.

Support: Two soldiers, Boss has a Splinter Turret.
Location: Transport Bay and Shipping Bay, 10:00

Open Strat

B1 00:00 Boss - Elite (Elite Prime) x2 (25 Points)
Support: 3 Jackals
Location: Red Underpass and Blue Underpass
Strategy One: While clearing the Base you should try to get your hands on a Plasma Pistol or Needler. Once outside you can unload the needler into him for an easy kill, or even overcharge the plasma pistol and headshot him. The Jackals may even supply some needler ammo.

B2 02:00 Boss - Soldier (Hydra Soldier) x2 (25 Points)
Support: 2 Watchers
Location: Overpass and Monument
Strategy One: Wait on the walkway behind the ally spawn. To arrive on time from either garage you should leave at least 30 seconds early. Once he spawns you can beat him down quickly.
Strategy Two: Make sure not to throw grenades, that will keep the watchers around. Without watcher support he is an easy kill with a pistol/br as you can make him scream after enough damage. this exposes a headshot weakspot.

B3 04:00 Boss - Ghost (Ghost Jockey) x2 (25 Points)
Support: Spawns in Phantom, Sword Ghost
Location: East Highway and West Highway
Strategy One: Bring a plasma pistol. One of the grunts will supply you with a Fuel Rod Cannon. If you EMP the ghost you can unload a few shots. Rinse and Repeat.

B4 06:00 Boss - Banshee (Pilot 'Dalamen) (150 Points)
Support: Sword Banshee
Location: Monument
Strategy One: Draw aggro to your most dominant side of the map. Make sure to have plasma pistols, railguns/ghosts/lasers. After he is far enough to your dominant side EMP him out of the sky. (Aiming down sights drastically increases PP range) Your teammates should be prepared to unload on him while you hold him to the ground.
Strategy Two: Spawn Railguns/Rockets/Lasers and have a teammate knock his shields down. These weapons will shred the banshee's health.

B5 08:00 Boss - Hunters (Duelist Hunters) x2 (25 Points Each)
Support: Spawn from Phantom
Location: Terrace and Knoll
Strategy One: Spawn a wraith and drive it to the monument yard. Pick off the hunter's one by one.

B6 10:00 Boss - Knight (Knight Noble) x2 (25 Points)
Support: Two elites and a Watcher
Location: Plaza and Commons

B9 16:00 Boss - Phaeton (Recon Pilot) x2 (25 Points)
Support: Phaeton
Location: Plaza and Commons
Strategy One: Use a Railgun or Laser. The Phaeton's weakpoint is located on the bottom of the Phaeton. Hitting the phaeton here will do devastating damage. Also note that a phaeton cannot shoot straight down, so you are safest directly below it.
Strategy Two: Use Kinnetic loadout weapons and unload into the boss alongside a teammate. His health will drop steadily.

B10 18:00 Boss - Warden Eternal (150 Points) Support: Soldier and two Watchers
Location: Knoll
Strategy: Warden Eternal is a bullet sponge.
