MW2 Patches

Sat Dec 19, 2009 9:01 am

Not to troll but does anyone else find it sad that infinity ward has already released 6 patches for their game. Shouldn't they have spent more time play testing than promoting their game?

As long as they continue producing patches at the rate they are doing it's ok for me.

I agree evil. Modern warfare 2 is rushed, They shouldn't be allow to release a game this buggy.

But they are listening to the gamers and patching it so you can't complain much.

There is no way that a developer can find every single little exploit in the game they make. I mean Halo had a lot upon release too (flares, deployable cover, radar jammer, HLG spots, etc). As more exploits are discovered, then they need to be patched. Infinity Ward has been pretty good about updating their matchmaking in order to fix such exploits, so I'm fine with that. It does speak that they may need to playtest their game a bit more. However, if it was a rushed release, its not fair to blame Infinity Ward, but rather their publisher....Activision(?).

That's it though. The exploits are hardly small. Infinite ammo automatic grenade launchers? Private matches you gain EXP in? Infinite Care packages? The ability to hide inside rocks?
They're doing a good job patching them, but in all fairness, they shouldn't be there in the first place.
EDIT: Also, I will never forgive IW for nerfing Lightweight.

Yeah, "Little exploit"? Really rj?, Really?

    Server hacks,
    Infinite ammo,
    No reloading,
    Javlin glitch,
    Geometry glitches,
    Private xp matches,
    Infinite Care packages,
    Getting pro perks faster,
    Run faster,
    Getting out of the map,
    Elevator glitches,
    Double xp

No I did not make them up, They are real.

Lol when you list them all like that it's pretty dam bad.
In comparison Halo didn't have too many game breaking glitches and they still have one of the best matchmaking systems out there. None of this join a party and then get fail to connect :(

The only thing I can't stand about MW2 is that it's WAY too hard to get a decent ninja class. :P Oh, that and the Private XP matches. Maybe if there was more variety, but I'm tired of getting BTB Domination on Rust. ::cens:: ::cens:: ::cens::

Really, MW2 isn't that bad, and most of that list is patched now... Sure, It should've stayed in testing for a while longer, but its still an awesome game.

Server hacks (Patch in the Works)
Infinite ammo (Patch ITW)
No reloading, (Patch ITW)
Javlin glitch, (Fixed)
Geometry glitches,
Private xp matches, (Patch in the Works)
Infinite Care packages, (Fixed)
Getting pro perks faster,
Run faster, (Part of the game.)
Getting out of the map,
Elevator glitches,
Double xp

I haven't seen the Pro perks faster, Getting out of maps, Double XP and Geometry glitches at all. Besides the Rock one on Afgan, and they fixed that.

In due time, Albet that everything will get fixed and back to normal. Just dont worry about it so much and have fun playing.

Although, I do enjoy some of those Domination on Rust matches that are hacked. I got my Steady Aim Pro and attachments for most of my LMG's doing that. I cant say I dont like them, but they do get annoying when you try and play a decent match...

Quoted for truth, i didn't see much point to decreasing the effect of lightweight. And it means my knife classes are that bit less effective

Pardon me if i am wrong, ( after all i haven't been playing this game often), but i hear the model-shotguns are getting patched due to their SICK kill range?
-I hear theyre nerfing the range on them?

EDIT: Just saw BK's link in the OTHER "MW2 patches thread" about the 1887's.
Idk how to delete posts. fail?
