An undo button for when we make really bad mistakes or have spent an hour typing and accidentally hit delete there should be that option to quickly bring back text so it doesn't induce rage on here i think it will be good idea.

If you have to write a long post, write it in a word processor like Word or Google Docs before posting. Copy it from there.

Yeah, that would require storing everything in a cache as everyone types or some other such complicated hoo-ha. Not gonna happen from me. Sarge has the answer.

I've got a document on my desktop that is labeled "HWM" just for this purpose.
