This is kind of a tough one for me... I think it's a tie; between the 7ft. Harry Dresden and the 4ft. Tyrion Lannister. Both have a fantastic wit and humor which I love in a character.

I'll go with Harry Dresden though. He is consistantly awesome throughout all 13 of his books I've read while Tyrion's storyline lags a bit in the last couple books.

Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden

I've suggested reading the Dresden Files to you gents before... the suggestion stands. It is one of the best series I've read and it is consistantly great.

EDIT: New book coming out in November. Here's the cover art.

I'm going with Anomander Rake. He's a character in the series i'm currently reading, "The Malazan Book of the Fallen". The series is a heavy read. 10 books at over 1000 pages each. I am currently on the 6th book.

Spoiler: show

This whole favourite character thing would probably change depending on what book I am reading at the time. Oh well this is my choice for now.

This actually took a lot of time to think about. I found myself restricted by pictures more than anything else. I think I'll make another post separately about characters I love.

For this, however, I've chosen Captain Benjamin Sisko of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Some may nod knowingly, assuming I'd choose Sisko as one of the stand-out black characters in Sci-Fi, but there are certain things about Sisko that I admire more than anything else. Specifically, I think Sisko fully embodies what I imagine a future New Orleanian to be. Some may not know that Sisko is from New Orleans, but beyond mentioning it, Sisko cooks his own food often. Additionally, he's a very spiritual man. He's also shown a lot of acceptance of other people, and also supported alternative lifestyles. It's hard to articulate fully, but he embodies to me what a black man in the future would be without it becoming obnoxious or racial.

In fact, I like Sisko so much that in high school I wrote my final essay arguing that Sisko actually graduated from my high school.

I have a deep admiration for his character and the depths the writers went to keep him grounded in reality.

After reading the first few books of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series, I must say that I greatly enjoy the wit, flamboyance, and intelligence of Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander. Smart and entertaining character. Granted, the above picture is of Bruce Spence from the TV portrayal of the books, Legend of the Seeker, which I know that Sarge hates with a righteous fury (hyperbole may or may not be present in that statement). However, since I do not know of any quality artists' renditions of Zedd, and believe that Bruce Spence is more recognizable than such renditions, I've chosen to use this picture to represent Zedd.

Please don't hate me Sarge. :P

At first, I raged. Then, I read what Valk posted; so I chilled out.

I do love the Sword of Truth series. Glad you got around to reading it.

All right kids, it's been a month. Time for another round of suggestions.

I'll start it off with... Favorite artwork from The Oatmeal!

2 or 3 more suggestions and I'll open a poll.
