Now that people have either played the game or are moving along I'm going to start some conversations about choices in the game. I'll continue into a later game choice after a few days so people can talk about things and give others time to complete some things.
So, let's start with the first two big choices on Eos: What kind of outpost did you put down and why? How did you resolve the First Murderer mission?
I put down a science outpost because most of the people we brought with us are scientists and explorers and what's what we came to do. Also, we're messing with technology that's capable of altering planets and I think we should get our best minds working on understanding that. No militia is worth anything without a fleet to transport them and food to feed them, so we need to get working on living in Andromeda first.
For the murderer, I exiled him. He fully intended to kill his best friend and superior officer. If he thought he had to remove him to save the squad, he's the second in command. Take command. Rally the troops. Save people. No, instead he tries to murder his best friend. That's not okay, and that kind of person cannot remain an active part of our society.
What did the rest of you decide?
