In addition to enjoying Infinity Ward's previous work and feeling it was besmirched by subsequent work done without the same guys, I just like how they're doing this game.
You get mechs, but they move like foot soldiers.
Gameplay that emphasizes mobility and multiple dimensions.
Gunplay that looks at least as solid as any other game available right now (Slightly unique to the game of course).
And very importantly, experience in the genre.
As a fan of:
Shooters
Vehicle gameplay in shooters
Mech games
It's looking right up my alley.
Gunplay looks pretty forgiving which is a good and bad thing. It's a bad thing because it doesn't take much to master easy-to-use accurate no-recoil guns, but it's a good thing because when people can jetpack wall-run and fly through the air at high speed you kinda need the guns to behave like they belong to the same time period (Very accurate, low-recoil, easy to use). One problem with Halo's gunplay progression is it's gotten more modern with each title, which is dumb because it's a futuristic fantasy shooter. Meanwhile shooters focused on the modern era (CoD, BF3) have incorporated more advanced weaponry, equipment, and tactics than Halo games. I'd give Titanfall's guns more praise, but without playing with them and knowing they look basically like CoD guns, there's just nothing there but standard fare.
