Games you're looking forward to in 2013

Mon Dec 31, 2012 6:02 pm

We do this every year, so here we go... what games are you looking forward to in 2013?

Link to 2013 releases

Bioshock Infinite (excited from what i've seen)
Elder Scrolls online (it's tamriel with my friends... it's all i need)
Sim City (from what little I got to see, I think this is a big release for this game and looks fun)

The two on that list that I'll definitely be getting are GTA V and Gears of War: Judgement.

Stuff that sounds interesting:
Army of Two
Bioshock
South Park
WH 40k: Dark millenium
GTA V

But I only know for sure that I will get the Bioshock game.

OMG The Stick of Truth looks AMAZING! I cannot wait for this game...

I would be really excited for Elder Scrolls Online, if it wasn't for the fact that I may purposely avoid it. I've seen how deep I went into skyrim.. I've also seen how deep I get into MMORPGs Such as WoW and more recently DC Universe Online...

Honestly, for the good of myself and my loved ones, I cannot play Elder Scrolls Online.

Also really looking forward to Bioshock.

And even though I don't think it will be anything groundbreaking, The Deadpool game looks like fun

Perusing the list, there are a few things I didn't know about.

Things I already knew about:

SimCity (Grew up on SimCity 2000, SimTower, SimPark, SimSafari, the Sims, and SimCity 4)
South Park
Dead Space 3 (If I can manage to get through the first two games)

What I didn't know about:
Mistborn: Birthright

I love Brandon Sanderson, and I think constantly as I read his books that they would make great video games. Looking forward to that.

GTA V for sure, been a fan since the first.

Probably Dead Space 3, always love me some co-op games.

TESO looks interesting, might be willing to try it out.

The time has come, and so have I

OH MY!

Mistborn: Birthright
Its gonna be pretty awesome since its all written by Brandon Sanderson himself.

Thats aboot it. Looks like I wont be getting many games this year. Probably just Mistborn.

A lot of the games linked I don't know much about yet. Here's my shortlist:

Bioshock Infinite: it'll be an experience, no matter what.
Gears of War Judgement: Honestly not too excited about another Gears game, however Baird was always my favorite character in the series so I'm curious to have a game about him.
Shadowrun Returns: I was really disappointed by the XBox updated game from a bunch of years ago, but I think this could be really fun and am all for tactical RPGs on handhelds.
The Cave: Listening to Ron Gilbert and Double Fine talk and tweet about this game makes me excited for another really interesting, funny, deep adventure game.
This sig available for rent.

I'm probably going to shoot myself for saying this, but Star Wars 1313 actually looks kind of interesting. The gameplay so far looks more like Mass Effect 3 (which is a very good thing) and the environment sounds more like Fallout 2...also a very good thing. If they can pull off what they are advertising, I'm all for it.

Other than that, I've always been a Command & Conquer fan, so we'll see where that one goes. Also the Warhammer 40K: Dark Millenium sounds interesting as well, and I hope it wasn't cancelled as speculation suggests. Hopefully somebody bought the rights to it since THQ went under. Fuse and Fortnite also look interesting, so I'll keep an eye on them.

So...
Star Wars 1313
Command & Conquer
Warhammer 40K: Dark Millenium

Maybe:
Fuse
Fortnite

would have completely missed it to if oboe had not pointed it out. I too was rather disapoint son over the vista/xbox shooter. And am honestly giddy to have another game done proper. For any of you that have not made the connection, my avatar pic and name come from the SNES shadowrun game.

I'm not really looking forward to much this time around, however a few games have caught my attention.

Dead space 3- I predict convergence ::twisted::

Bioshock Infinite- Floating islands & steampunk robo's ::shock::

Rainbow six patriots- I always wanted to play as a domestic terrorist and kill the 1%

Doesn't seem like an overly exciting year for games outside of Elder Scrolls online and Bioshock: Infinite. Maybe I'll pick up GTA as well.
