Hey there!
I'm vuris, and I'm a member of the Spartan Dads companies. We currently have 3 companies at around 100 members each, and will be opening a 4th shortly. We have been working on keeping only the folks who want to play, but we're aware that, as dads, life happens, and some of us will be away from the XBone for a couple of weeks every once in a while. While we're not 100% dads, or even 100% male (we have 3 female members), our philosophy is relatively relaxed, with a high level of respect that our company members probably have more important stuff from day to day, so we do everything we can to make our time together exciting and fun. A bit more information is available on Waypoint https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/spartan-companies/spartan%20dads .
About 3 or 4 weeks ago, we began to do a bit of research around how to organize our Warzone efforts, not necessarily to crush everyone we come across, but to make the process more enjoyable and less frustrating. If we get beat by a bunch of folks who just shoot better, ok, but we didn't like the feeling of not being able to depend on each other, so the Wheelman Way Fridays were introduced. Just last weekend, we had a full team at 8:30ET, and two full teams with folks on the bench at 11:30ET. We take the responsibilities somewhat seriously, but we're still finding that balance between doing things precisely as prescribed and freestyling a bit as the opportunities arise.
We might not have the best reaction times, and the number of folks in our companies sporting an Elite controller is very low. We don't know all the tactical jumps, and most of us don't know how to pull off those jump-boost-gurujump-groundpound-clamber things we've watched folks do, but we communicate well and respectfully, and we don't take ourselves too seriously.
That's a bit about us. If you guys are interested in playing with some cool folks who would love the opportunity to learn and play, but have fun first, then we'd love to invite any and all of you to join us this Friday, 2016/02/05 for a mixer of fun conversations and warzone.
I'm not sure how we'd manage that signup process (we use band.us as a communication system for our group), but I'm sure we'll figure it out.
P.S. We found you via youtube and twitch, and more than a few of us have become fans of yours, not just for how you play, but how you communicate and treat each other.
