Copadope (cope-uh-dope)

Sun Dec 06, 2015 1:55 pm

Hello. My name is Brad, my gamertag is Copadope, but you can just call me Cope. I've been having a lot of fun with Halo 5 lately, but I would be having more fun if I had a few friends to play with on the regular. Let's face it: Warzone is fun, but if you're joining a game all by yourself, you're really not getting your money's worth.

I've been a fan of driving the Warthog since they days when it was indestructible, (Yeah, I'm kinda old) so HWM seems like a good fit for me. I'd like to make some new friends, but I don't know if I'll be active enough to get a blue name here. My goal is just to have some good times playing with good teammates. So send me a friend request and an invite if you see me online!

I remember HWM from way back, probably in the Halo 3 days, but I had enough friends gaming then that I wasn't looking to join any other groups. So today I went looking for teammates and first went to Tied The Leader, because I remembered that name from my Halo 3 days as well. Their forums are mostly inactive now, but a fairly recent post said there was an active group at Sword and Shield Gaming. So I checked that site and saw Halo Wheelmen because of the Good Game Network. So I signed up here since you guys are more Halo-focused.

It's a month later and I just want to say that I like what you all have going here. Playing with a consistent group of respectable (respectful) players has me excited about Halo again in a way I haven't felt in many moons. Even though I'm rarely putting strong numbers on the scoreboard I still feel like part of a team, and that's my favorite way to play Halo. Thanks for being awesome!

One of our mantras is "People, not stats"

We've been here a long time. My social K/D in Halo 3 was 1.03. It's 1.6 in Warzone now. People can always improve. We'd rather build a community of good people for the long term than just win in the short term with strong, rude people.

I feel like we should have a semi serious website page that is like "Accolades" and it has a bunch of quotes from members like a game or film does reviewing it. Could put things like this on there, what's better than new members sticking around and after a month and taking it upon themselves to say how awesome our community is.
