Gonna cut the argument here. He's just saying he's surprised that the company itself has backed that interpretation. He expected it to only be a headcanon.

If that's what you want to talk about, then talk about it. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would love to hear build ideas.

I do that occasionally when in game butt for the most part most of the wheelmen play casually and play Overwatch as a relaxation game. So I didn't want to make it all competitive for them and take that fun away.

I have little intention of taking this game as seriously as I play Halo or previously Evolve. But that does not mean that there can't be discussion of builds to go in prepared as a group.

Of course not! So, what's your favorite character build right now? Any combo teams you recommend?

He's a very large, very angry German man. I think it might be a fit. ::wink::

He's a tank with a shield so he is like a forward support. Super fun to play when people actually utise your shield.

I'm glad Zenyatta is getting a buff because I loved him in the beta but haven't really touched him recently so hopefully he'll be better to play, don't know how I feel about self heals charging ults will just have to wait and see.

Ronald “Hollywood” DuPuis

Ronald – or Ronny, as he prefers to be called – has worked at the expanded Hollywood Museum ever since he was old enough to apply. He loves movies, and he got his nickname, “Hollywood,” because of it. If there’s something you want to know about a movie, you ask Ronny.

In fact, Ronny loves movies so much that not only has he taken many acting classes and joined multiple theatre groups over the course of his life, but he has also endeavored to learn the skills the characters of Hollywood know, such as how to use all kinds of guns, bladed and blunt weapons, martial arts, tech hacking – actual tech hacking – and he is set to graduate with a PhD in Physics, though he was delayed by a temporary obsession with medicine and biology. This has turned him into quite a formidable opponent on the battlefield, and betrays a genius intellect that many have told him is wasted on movie trivia.

Image

Ronny originally worked on this piece of tech in his spare time, trying to figure out how to create 3D projections of old film movies so that he could sing, dance, and act along with some of the greatest stars in history. But in a moment of desperation it was quickly weaponized, and unfortunately, Ronny hasn’t been able to look back.

Image

Ultimate: RETCON
Use after death to resurrect Ronny. Recieve a damage and movement speed bonus for a short period.
Duration: 6 seconds

“That’s not in the script!!” //allies
“CUT! Retake!” //opponents

Ability 1: STAGE LIGHTS
Toss a stage light grenade that temporarily blinds enemies caught in the blast. It is possible for Ronny to blind himself.
Duration: 3 seconds (screen starts almost completely white and fades to clear over the course of 3 seconds)
Cooldown: 10 seconds

He gets his daily workout just by lugging his equipment around.

Ability 2: STUNT DOUBLE
Create a projection of Ronny that runs forward in a straight line. Projection fades when it hits a wall or takes damage.
Cooldown: 8 seconds; starts after the projection fades

Ronny does his own stunts.

Image

VOICE LINES:

[to Jesse McCree] “Did you know they were going to make a movie about you? The producers decided to scrap it because they didn’t want to pull a Godfather.”
Jesse: “Sure kid, that’s the reason.”

*

[on respawn] “Let’s take it from the top! Action!”

*

[getting buffed by Mercy] “With great power…comes great ass-kicking.”

*

[to Lucio] “Oh, dude, it’s you! I’m a huge fan of your music videos!”
Lucio: “Haha, always nice to meet a fan!”

*

[to Mercy] “How do you deal with the side effects to…you know.”
Mercy: “You’ll get used to it, darling. Have faith.”

*

[3+ kills] “Heeeere’s Ronny!”

Why don't more people play this game?! I have only seen swift online and a handful of SSG and OCR folks. The competitive scene in this game is insane!!

I know some of you guys play but... Come on... Its awesome.

This game is so diverse and complicated with almost every champion having nuances to their gameplay and EVERYONE having strengths, weaknesses, and counters.

I'll think about coming up with a long list of strats and tactics but for now I'll just drop a quick list of champs that go REALLY well together.

Bastion and Rienhardt for defense. His shield makes up for Bastions "weakness" of immobility in turret mode (which is SUPER high DPS for those that don't know. Comboed with a mercy for heals and damage buffs these 3 just Pineapple everything up.

Zarya, her ult especially, is SUPER strong with other AoE ults like Mei, pharah, Rein, Hanzo, Genji, Dva etc. This is especially strong on fixed point objective maps where the enemy has to funnel into a choke.

Lucios heals and shields make any team fight amazing so he is probably my favorite support. Use his ult, and/or Zenyattas, to counter enemy AoE ults listed above!

Rein plus Mcree is a strong combo as his shield let's mcree ult from relative safety and mcRee stuns set up rein boosts.

Roadhog hook into mcree stun is super strong as is Roadhog with mei. She can wall off and slow down enemies setting up Hog for an easy hook. Plus their ults work well enough together. Just make sure you aren't trolling with your mei walls!

There are SO many wombo combos in this game... I think comparing it to Evolve is fair minus the whole asymmetric aspect of 1v5ing. Different champs in similar classes each with their own unique abilites and personalities. I will also be able to play this game for a while because they will constantly be putting out new champs, maps, gametypes, and cosmetic loot. All of which is free.

Money well spent and I hope to see more of you playing.

The competitive scene in this game is insane. There is no straight up slayer, which is strange, but I think it's for the best to be honest... Would be difficult to balance and make maps for strictly slayer. Spawn camping would be rampant.
Almost every map in the game is tier based with a couple being bungie-esque "symmetrical" maps with a single hill in the middle. And all maps have team specific spawn rooms where you heal back to full and can change champs.

Overall it's a very fun game and very challenging, which I enjoy but if you're used to the CONCEPT of tf2, Evolve, or mobas, then it's VERY easy to step into this game and apply your FPS knowledge.

YOU SHOULD PLAY IT!
