Overwatch is pretty intense. I find the strategy in picking and switching characteras a fun dynamic.

HMU for Overwatch!!

Roadhog is being patched so he can no longer hook people through walls and other such nonsense. If a player leaves line of site fast enough the hook will break off instead of pulling them through corners. The hook will pull players to the position directly in front of Roadhog when they were hooked so Roadhogs can't spin after hooking and drop players off cliffs. The line of sight will now be analyzed by what Roadhog can see instead of where the hook is to prevent hooking of people clearly out of sight.

That seems like a sensible, well thought, and well programmed patch.

They did try this patch a few months ago and people were in uproar saying he's broken so they reverted him back to what he previously was, but that somehow made his hook even more broken which lead to this patch. Hopefully it fixed things and players don't throw a hissy fit because they are used to their OP Roadhog. It's always a big thing when one of the most effective/most played heroes gets a nerf.

Well they talked about how it was broken and a patch would also effectively nerf Roadhog in October, but I don't think they actually tried to implement anything at that point.

Also here is an article on the change if anyone wishes to read their actual words. http://www.polygon.com/2017/1/4/14165292/overwatch-roadhog-hook-nerfed-fixed-patch

We reiterated at the gathering that we're an Xbox community, so it would be nice to see people grab it on console first.

Do you own it on any platform? We all play on Xbox at the moment.

Ah makes sense, I remember people talking about how they think Roadhogs damage got nerfed but Blizzard didn't tell anyone and although I felt his gun was a little weaker I don't believe blizzard would do a stealth nerf.

I played it on the weekend when it was free for the first time. even played with you. means I can redownload it but would have to pay to unlock it fully. maybe I can get a cheap code somewhere

For a long time I've had this thought that in an ideal world, the team coordinator would play mainly Lucio. Its his combination of healing, his need to be close to teammates and his need to be aware of the flow of the game. I just saw a video that furthered this idea for me, and I thought it'd be cool to share!
