Competitive (Haven) - Mythic Required

Haven is an symmetrical map which is designed to support Multi-Flag, Neutral Assault and Slayer. This map resembles some features of the popular halo 2 map sanctuary especially the middle structure. The map focuses heavily on teamwork and vehicle use to obtain, not only map control but to also secure the objective. Each base contains weapons and equipment to counter vehicles. The centre of the map is used as a neutral point which contains some powerweapons as well as the neutral bomb point. There is a healthy balance of open areas and cover on this map which allows vehicles to function but not to become overpowered. When undergoing testing Skirmish and BTB fans enjoyed this map.

Brute Shot x2 -Respawn 60 Seconds
Carbine x2 - Respawn 30 seconds
Human Turret x2 -180 Seconds
Missle Pod x2 Respawn -180 Seconds
Needler x2 Respawn - 90 Seconds
Rockets x1 Respawn - 150 Seconds
Shotgun x2 Respawn - 150 Seconds
Sniper x2 Respawn - 120 Seconds

BubbleShield x2 Respawn - 120 Seconds
Chopper x2 Respawn- 120 Seconds
Mongoose x4 Respawn- 60 on Base 90 below base
Regen x2 Respawn- 120 Seconds
PowerDrain x2 Respawn- 120 Seconds
Warthog x2 Respawn- 120 Seconds

You'll have my support when you post this on Atlas, its a really great map. Might I suggest making it support Territories?

I can see on Atlas that you're having trouble with the bomb and Rocket spawn. Well, instead of redesigning your map, how about you just switch the way you've got the two placed? So, instead of having the rocket placed toward one turret spawn and the bomb placed toward the other, how about you place the rocket toward blue base and the bomb toward red base (but keep them on the middle bit, still).

As far as I can tell, you can only get to the rockets or bomb by jumping on the ledge under the middle, or by going up one of the side ramps. With how they're placed at the moment, this gives an advantage to whoever goes up red ramp (the one pointing toward red base); the rockets are closer to that ramp. But, if you placed them closer to one of the bases, it would lessen the advantage, without meaning a map redesign.

Just a thought.

I'm rebuilding this map and making sure to use the default objects.
I would like your opinions on the bases, should I move the bases forward one square?

Is one square that big of a difference?

These are the maps you're going to find in the Bungie vs. The World Playlist on 7/7 next week. Clicking on each image will take you directly the the Map Variant in the author's File Share on where you can queue each and every one of 'em up for download to your Xbox 360. So you see, while this update might be a bit lacking in the word count department, it is decidedly packed to the brim (or would be if it had a brim) with piping hot content.

Bungie vs. The World will run from 1:00am PDT on 7/7 until 1:00am PDT on 7/8. There is no sign up. If you want to enter, you need to have the Mythic Map Pack and you need to be able to play Halo 3's Matchmaking. If you meet those requirements, head into the Playlist that will go live on 7/7 and if you run into a four-player Bungie crew with heads aflame, defeat them and you get Recon.

Sound good? Download the maps below, dip your toes in, and get some practice before you go swimming with the sharks (that's us) on Bungie Day. These are the arenas we'll be playing on.

Its an amazing map with great layout better than some of the other ones made on sandbox and it was fun playtesting it!
