I know there are going to be a lot of attempts at remakes of some of the different Halo maps. I want to try to consolidate a list of the best ones people have found. Please post up in here as you find great remakes.

1) Rat's Nest
2) The Pit

On disc, sanctuary, ascension, ivory tower, and blood gulch/coagulation. The forge world vidoc also showed warlock, I'm sure that's out there somewhere.

I have both xboxes upstairs next to each other, one on tv, other on monitor. I plan to boot up halo one here in a few days and see what I can do.

I was going to try for a Prisoner remake, or maybe Damnation. I'll keep checking here to see if someone beat me to it haha.

And I'm really interested in Wizard, but BK's right, I do remember seeing it in a video.

I was thinking of making a Relic remake (possibly for an invasion gametype) I'd also like to do Sidewider because i really miss that map and avalanche just didnt cut it, but im not sure theres a place in forge world for it....

Okay, this thread is losing its purpose from consolidating information about already made maps that people think are good remakes, to what people want to try to remake themselves.

I would love for people to remake whatever classic maps that they like. However, their intentions don't relly belong in this thread. My recommendation is that if you want to make a map, head over to Bungie and search for the maps you are interested in in the Reach Files. Many people have already made versions of the classic maps. I just don't have any personaly experience with any of the Halo CE or Halo 2 maps, so I have to depend on the opinions of the community at large to tell me what ones are actually good remakes.

For those good remakes, I will put them on the list in the OP. That way any person that is interested in playing a classic map will know where to go to find a good version of the map. So, if you only want to make a post in here saying that you are going to try to make a map, don't. Just let us know when you are finished so the community can judge the quality. If it hits the marks, then it can be posted in here to go on the list.

P.S. - You can also use this thread to make comments about yout opinions about maps posted in he OP. If you don't think they are good enough, they can be removed from the list when a better version is discovered or made.

I found a really nice remake of Hang 'Em High, Beaver Creek, and Lockout.
The only problem I found with Beaver Creek was the water under the bases but there really is so getting aroun that. The Lockout remake also doesn't have kill boundries on top of things, so jetpacks can be used to get up to places no one else can reach. Other than that, they're good maps.

I also found a Foundry Remake, but the problem is, it uses up all of the budget, so you can't build anything on it XD

Oh and then a remake of Longest.

That's about it though.

I downloaded the Relic remake to see if it was like "TrueRelic" it's not a true remake but more of an adaptation. Which makes me happy as I consider mine a true remake. With more or less the same time from the hog to get rockets. Same time to get from the back of the base to the flag.

I'm going to finish this map up now :]

I love this. I love how Bungie let us still play our old favourite maps and they didn't even have to do any work.

I'm going to download most of these pronto, especially Damnation, Prisoner, Boarding Action, Headlong. I'm curious as to how they did Headlong. That was an awesome map, but the buildings seem hard to recreate.
