Forge 2.0 is seriously awesome.

The amount of user control over objects is insane. *will post screenshots of rats nest tomorrow*

Noob Question: I remember in Halo 3 you could move the object away from your view. Can you do this in Halo Reach?

It's hard to put in words what I mean xD

I think you still can, but instead of the object moving away, I think you move away; know what I mean? Like, the object stays stationary, but you move backwards or forwards. I was doing something like it earlier, but I'm not sure how I did it exactly. ::FP::

Try moving the tumbsticks and the triggers and see what happens. If that doesn't work, I'm sure someone will know what to do.

Yeah I understand what you mean. I like how in halo 3 you can move the object away and closer to you. Forging is kind of awkward in halo reach imo.

Yeah, it was easy in Halo 3, but I guess we had to get used to it, so I guess we'll just have to do the same in Reach. When I first started in forge (in Reach) and started spawning objects, I had no idea how to move the object up or down. I know right, how pathetic. I eventually worked it out after pressing a few buttons and gradually got the idea.

I think one of the main ways to learn will be to spend time screwing around and reading things that BK and others have already said.

Before Reach came out, but after the Forge World Video, I drew (with a pencil ::shock:: ) a couple of designs up for maps, which I plan to work on in the next few weeks. So, I'll be probably posting tips if I get the chance.

Btw, Luv Gunn, that KoTH idea is great!

I like forging so far, but I gotta ask... How the hell do you make a Race. I made a map, but I can't actually get the Race Variant to work on it...
You just read this incredibly tiny text for no good reason, and have nothing to show for it.

I'm working on one now, got to get it working just right, and it'll be in the Forge FAQ that our PR department is working on. For now, a couple tips can be found here

Anyone know of a way to set up a neutral score point for flag/bomb? I can do neutral flag/bomb but not the scoring point for diff teams. This kills my hogball idea :(*

I did all that though with the territories, but it still won't work.

Just set up both teams score points on top of or next to each other. Not as aesthetically pleasing, but works the same.

Just from playing around with forge a half hour or so I can definitely say it is much easier to actually work with. I suspect with the forge community as it is, we will have farily well done remakes of almost every previous halo map by the end of next month.

Just the fact that things that used to take ten steps and five minutes are now instant such as phased objects in mid air means we can actually focus on being creative, instead of getting a half baked idea to just work at all.

Yes.
Hold in the right trigger and you can zoom in and out.
