The Majestic Map Pack releases next week and it's all smaller scale maps. (I kinda prefer it when they mix it up but ok.) I also read on Halo Waypoint that they are going to finally have a free for all playlist next week.

I am not looking for close quarters encounters. This is not the map pack for me. I don't think i'll be buying this right away.

No, this probably isn't an exciting map pack for the WHEELMEN.

I'm pretty excited. A few of the mid size maps that have been thrown into the objective playlist simply are too large for 4v4 battles (Complex anyone) so it'll be really good to get some of that in maps small enough for the small teams.

I'm actually kind of looking forward to the small maps. Especially if I can get some flag or KOTH games in on them. BTB in H4 annoyed me more than I enjoyed it most of the time anyway.

After looking at the video, I go. WOW! you(343) needed half a year to release 3 small maps that run as fast as a good forge map like simplex or lockout. They made these awsome looking big maps like Vortex and Exile and got them in at release. 343 is wierd. But I'm not complaining. At game relesase I had 5 hog maps in my hands (even though Im so fed up of valhalla and exile now), and at first map pack release, I get two moore hog maps, wow. And the last map what 4 ghosts and 2 mantises. As a vehicle enthusiast I'm already happy. No wonder the MLG communety is silent, they got no maps to play.

343 is just wierd, these maps are needed, as mutch as 8vs8 Flag on longbow needs to be in matchmaking.

I hope they tested them a bit more than the shipping maps.
I got the season pass so I wil get this mappack if it's bad or not.

you mean the thing with the season pass? yeah if it wouldn't have been in the limited edition I probably wouldn't bought it either.
But Halo 4 Limited sounded good .

More maps to put Infinity CTF on!

Actually the update that they're putting out with that map pack includes a drastic reduction on the kill distance of the bolt shot.

It still doesn't stop it from being a one shot kill weapon which is available in the loadouts. That update will help but it doesn't fully fix the problem.

These maps look fairly decent but the problem is that a tiny fraction of the population seem to buy them meaning that they never appear in the regular playlists. So they're not really worth it.

OK, is anyone planning on getting this pack? I would love to roll in a huge party on Monday evening, maybe play a few customs to try out the maps or go into the playlist and have some fun going for achievements?

I'd like to try to get the achievements naturally for a while at least. I'll be on Monday ready to go Oboe!
