Quick Specialization Questions

For anyone who's unlocked pathfinder, does the gunner mod alter the Gauss rate of fire at all? What about the Mantis missiles, Banshee bombs?

For those of you using operator, does the wheelman mod work only if you're in the driver's seat? For example, if my driver doesn't have it unlocked, but I do, are the EMP and regen benefits transferred if I'm on the turret?

I don't know if Pathfinder lets the Gauss fire faster, I might be surprised if it did. I do know that the turret overheating less is actually MUCH less. Playing spartan ops with a pathfinder the other night and he fired a stationary turret almost non-stop for several minutes without ever overheating. That mod will be a must for gunners.

The nice thing is that you can have both of them in your loadout, since they fill different spots. Yes, grab a mantis, or be ready to jump in whatever seat of a hog! :)

Still searching for an answer about whether or not pathfinder affects other vehicle weapons like the Gauss/Rocket Hogs and Banshee. I haven't found a definitive answer yet, but I did stumble across this youtube playlist with some pretty helpful demonstrations of different specializations.

Look at how fast you move with a turret and pathfinder. I'm definitely going to be rolling around like a T-800 with that thing.

Gauss demonstration begins at about 5:00 min in and unfortunately pathfinder doesn't let the Gauss shoot faster. The gunner in me is disappointed, but the realist in me knows just how overpowered it would make the gauss.

With this in mind, I guess it's safe to conclude that the Gunner mod only affects machine gun turrets and would have no effect on the rocket hog or banshee

Aw, man. I was kinda hoping that operator would transfer from the gunner seat. My driver won't be at 50 for a long time, mostly because all he does is drives warthogs or dies trying, so my plan was to unlock operator first to mutually benefit us both and then get pathfinder after.
Seriously though, I credit him with inventing the "Deathrun to Istanbul" (see the shitty 90's action movie) wherein he would hop in the nearest mongoose, occasionally with me riding brokeback, and tear across the map in search of the enemy warthog. There are only 3 possible outcomes to the Deathrun.
1. Failed Deathrun: Die in Transit
2. Unsuccessful Deathrun: Steal the enemy warthog but die before bringing it back
3. Successful Deathrun: ::hog::
