Overwatch Free Weekend - Friday night Tips and Tricks

Overwatch is a Class Based FPS that pits different Heroes against their enemies reminiscent of a MOBA with various strategies, counters, and lots of teamplay/wombo combo potential. Since my friends don't know what TF2 is I've tried describing it as a FPS with comic book characters, each of whom has vastly different traits and abilities. Some are fast, squishy, but deadly, others are Slow, Tanky, Behemoths and still some more Utility based, creating walls, turrets, healing, stopping damage etc.

Offense
Defense
Tanks
Support

There is a LOT to cover but don't be intimidated as 1.) Its Free 2.) There are SEVERAL heroes that are VERY easy to pick up and do well with. The maps, overall, feel good so any FPS game sense still applies and as long as you PTFO you'll do well! For some OW basics click on their homepage HERE or watch this video

LINK here for those interested in the details of the free to play weekend.

I'll be online and available Friday Night and would really LOVE to get a full party or MORE together. We'll cover some basics, talk about the maps, heroes, and best pairings/counters as each hero has their strengths and weaknesses. This will be a very laid back get together as I'm hoping to get more people playing this amazing game. The maps and heroes are all free and any skins/in game aesthetics can also be unlocked by simply playing. See you there!

Me and my brother play Overwatch quite a bit so it would be awsome to get more people playing so we can get some actual teamwork going.

is it possible to couch co-op this game?
I tested it today and I like it so far. but is there only one sided objective without sideswitch everygame?

There isn't really a campaign if thats what you mean. You generally swap sides after every round alternating offense and defense though some maps are neutral KoTH style.

I played some good games earlier, took a break, and will probably be getting back online shortly, anyone else up for playing tonight?! Let me know online or in the thread, FB, etc, and I'll come running!

I'm not sure if it has any local co op play. I would doubt it.

This game fits very much into the MOBA genre as it's basically a competitive, PVP, eSports game. So no campaign and the objective of the game is to beat your opponents. Like Luv Gunn said there are a few different modes. One which is a king of the hill so there is a neutral point and you have to control it until you get to 100%. Another has two points you need to take an succession one attacking and one defending. And a third has one point you need to take which then spawns an objective you have to escort through checkpoints.

well yeah, 1 sided objective, without teams changing sides after a round, that is what I asked :P . Had success playing Reinhardt and Roadhog. Sorry I was not at home to take part on the event but at least I have a good impression on what this game is now.
