Alright. Here are how things are gonna work. We're going to be playing organized Invasion. That means a couple of things. BEFORE YOU EVEN JOIN THE LOBBY
- Read the Invasion strats in the War Room.
- Be sure to read and understand The Battle Buddy Relationship thread.
- Come with the mindset to execute strategy in-game. No stat padding. K/D whores get booted.
You all said you wanted to play organized Invasion. We aren't going in to herp and derp in matchmaking, and this isn't meant as an easy way for you to find a party. I don't expect to win every game, but I expect us to play every game well. That being said, you can't play Invasion if you don't know the callouts, and you don't know your role. READ THE STRATEGIES. We're working on making them even simpler, but you have to know the plan to even play it out. IN GAME
- Twisted and I are captains. We give team orders.
- Talk to YOUR battle buddy, not the whole team.
- Stick to the plan.
Twisted and I will serve as team captains for this Invasion crew. That being said, your fire team needs to find a way to execute the mission you're given. Don't tell the rest of the team what to do and start giving everyone orders. Team dynamic breaks down quickly when that happens. Talk to your battle buddy.
Your success in Invasion is directly related to how well you work with your battle buddy. You have one teammate with a waypoint, and you have only one teammate you can spawn on. That is the person you need to focus on. Trust the other teams to do their jobs. Focus on doing your own. You and your battle buddy have a mission. Focus on that. That means you should say stuff like: "Two guys above us in alpha. I'm running camo/needler. Back up. Slow down. Wait for me. Shield swap. Etc." WORK WITH YOUR BATTLE BUDDY.
That being said: stick to the plan. If you spawn left, your job is to cause as much mayhem on the left side of the map as possible. You do not start coming all the way to the right to do stuff over there because there are more people there just because things are going perfectly on your end of the map. TRUST THE PLAN. Things will work out if everyone focuses on doing their role properly. The teamwork will come naturally if everyone sticks to their jobs and the overall plan.
Right. See you all tomorrow. I look forward to it.
