October Playlist Updates: Part Deux

Playlists

* New Playlist: Team Snipers
* New Playlist: Living Dead
* Rumble Pit
o Lineup rebalanced to offer more kill, less frill.
o Removed Infection, Safe Havens, Race, Rally, Headhunter Pro
o Removed “Classic” gametypes
* Team Slayer
o Removed all Snipers gametypes
* Team SWAT
o Added SWAT Magnums gametype
* Team Objective
o Removed 1 Flag Classic
o Removed Headhunter Pro
o Removed the following gametypes from Hemorrhage due to the size of the map with only 8 players:
+ Multiflag Classic
+ 1 Flag CTF
+ 1 Flag Pro
+ 1 Bomb Assault
o Removed Oddball and Hot Potato from Boardwalk
* Multi Team
o Removed SWAT
o Removed Classic gametypes
o Removed The Cage
o Changed weighting for Rocket Race so it does not have a 100% chance to appear in Slot 3
* Big Team Battle
o Removed Multiflag from Boneyard and Spire
* Invasion
o This playlist now offers 3 voting options
* Firefight
o Updated Firefight playlist gametypes to be a full set instead of 1 round. Adjusted skull progression.
o Removed Friendly Fire
* Score Attack
o Removed Crash Site
o Added Mythic Score Attack
o You can no longer pickup other weapons in Sniper Attack

Maps

* Zealot/Arena Zealot
o Arena Zealot is now used for all Slayer gametypes
o Players can no longer stand on the edge of the generators in space and crouch to shoot below the shield
* Asylum
o Softkill zones added to the tops of the Sniper buildings
* Boneyard
o Modified respawn zones for Slayer gametypes
* Hemorrhage
o Modified respawn zones for both bases
o Respawn timers for all Warthogs on Hemorrhage should now be 120 seconds

Gametypes

* CTF
o All CTF gametypes should now have a player respawn of 10 seconds
o All Classic CTF gametypes now feature Flag At Home To Score and Touch Return
o Flag At Home To Score disabled for all non-Classic CTF gametypes
o Modified Flag Return and Flag Reset times:
+ 1 Flag on Small maps use 10 second return and 30 second reset
+ All other CTF gametypes use 30 second return and 45 second reset
* Assault
o Assault gametypes now have a player respawn time of 10 or 15 seconds depending on the map

In addition to the Playlist changes, we’re also introducing two new Forge Map Variants with this update, Cliffhanger and Atom. Atom will be on display in the Team Slayer, Team Snipers, Team Objective, Multi Team, and Big Team Battle Playlists. Cliffhanger will be found in Rumble Pit, Team Slayer, Team SWAT, and Team Objective.

o Increased Time Limit to 15 minutes.

* Gruntpocalypse:
o Added Glacier map.
o Increased Time Limit to 15 minutes.

* Sniper Attack:
o Added Glacier map.
o Increased Time Limit to 15 minutes.
o Weapon pickup is now Disabled.
o Increased Melee Modifier to 150% to match Damage Modifier.

* Mythic Score Attack:
o The same set up as Score Attack but with the Mythic Skull on.

Firefight Playlist Updates:

* Firefight:
o Added Glacier map.
o Increased Time Limit to 30 minutes.
o Increased Wave Limit to 1 Set.
o Round 1 has only Tough Luck skull.
o Round 2 has Tough Luck and Catch skulls on.

* Generator Defense:
o Added Glacier map.
o Increased Time Limit to 30 minutes.
o Increased Wave Limit to 1 Set.

o Round 2 has Tough Luck and Catch skulls on.
o Round 3 has Tough Luck, Catch, and Cloud skulls on.
o Friendly Fire is Disabled.

* Rocketfight:
o Added Glacier map.

o Bonus Wave Squad 3 set to Hunters.
o Friendly Fire is Disabled.
o Betrayal Booting is Disabled.

I'm happy they have included Softkill zones to the tops of the Sniper buildings on Asylum, When someone gets up there in SWAT it's a nightmare. Wish they included a download link for Cliffhanger.

I'm liking a lot of these changes (thank God for soft kill zones on asylum) and atom is looking epic (downloaded it today) but im concerned with all the "removed this/that" - its good to mix it up a bit every now and then

I am worried about respawn times though. I'll reserve judgement for now but a 10 second respawn timer for all CTF/Assault games? I've had enough problems making the switch from H3 to Reach as a Groundpounder, and now if I do decide to forget about my k/d and go throw my body at the objective Consumed style i'm going to be spending half my game respawning?

I agree... Crashsite was good for Credits. But they're putting it back later they say, so that'll be awesome.

I wish they'd attempted a more creative change to Asylum, but I suppose you can't expect people to try hard for everything, and it really was getting bad. I played a team last night that spent their ENTIRE time doing nothing but trying to capture sniper rifles and jet pack up to the tops of those buildings. These guys had specialized in the exploitation of those spots (I know because their movements never changed, they always tried to do it the same way). People are pathetic. It was an unfortunate time to be rusty.
