Tue Sep 14, 2010 2:51 am

Anyone here having a sh*t connecion to Reach? I'm connecting to my network greenbar but when I matchmake it is all laggy and teleporty. I was playing halo 3 fine tonight and I reset my router and it is sill crappy. I am utterly pissed. This happening to anyone else?

While I am inclined to agree with you rouge, mallets prob is very odd. Like one of the worst I ever got to experience. Could be your area at the time tho... I'd say check it again after a while, then check speedtest and such and get a hold of the provider possibly.

OK, let the laggy Aussie say something.... ::zorn::

Anyway, the first three games I played were fine, very clean and near to no lag. Although, after a black screen halfway through my third game it started going a bit jumpy; well, a bit is a nice way to put it. It took it a little bit before it went away.

My next few games at the start were laggy, but that's just me I'm sure. As for you Mallets, I know your connection isn't the best, but if your playing fine on H3, then I don't see why it would be laggy in Reach.

Plus, I was booted from my third game after the black screen because I betrayed someone by accident. ::lol::

I've only had two problems. One the game must have selected a bad host, yellow bar all for most of the game (playable still) and second we got stuck on the screen where you have just picked the map and gametype to play. It got stuck for a good 2 minutes, someone quitted and it made us vote again then everything was fine.

The only connection problems I have, are in Firefight Matchmaking. For some reason, that just really lags it up. I've have a whole second (Or more) in delay there, but in every other playlist I'll do fine.
You just read this incredibly tiny text for no good reason, and have nothing to show for it.

Maybe this will help: http://www.bungie.net/projects/reach/article.aspx?cid=28529

Try seeing what your settings are on those things, you may find your answer.

So far I have only been in match making (BTB, Invasion, Team Slayer) with no connection problems. The only repeated annoyance that I have seen is a host switch right at the beginning of a match.

Every game i played on launch night was perfect. No In Game lag..

Now, when you ask about lag when a person quits out.. Then yes, there is a drop out lag. Takes about 35/a min to relaunch the game in session..

Overall, its a great game, great connection, and i got my flames rockin.
