I knew with the ability to set custom firefight options that getting the achievements from there would be super easy. Surely Bungie would fix it so it would have to be default settings or matchmaking......nope. They even added an ability for you to not have to reload and to be INVINCIBLE!!!!!

This could be fun if you want to race a friend for points. Who can kill steal the best?

I am disapointed however that they have allowed acheivements to be obtained in this way. No skill is needed.

Does this mean there won't be leaderboards? That was one of the things i was looking forward to a lot for reach. I hope they have leaderboards for uncustom/matchmade ones.

Wait?!?!? Unlimited clip + Rocket launcher.... or FRG... But this is kinda stupid. The custom setting arent that much of a problem, its the invincibility...

I'm not gonna cheat my way to this i like to earn my achievements.

I'm with you, unless I accidentally get them while angry and wanting to beat the living daylights out of some covenant... But I'll certainly try and get them before I get to that point.

I dont get how everyone is blaming IGN for this, they didnt make the game. Once they said you could customize firefight i had the idea to do all grunts with shotguns on legendary for acheivements. Its not cheating if they design the game that way. Its just a pure fail on bungies part.

I agree. I think its bungie's way of getting people to think outside the box to get achievements. The problem is everyone telling people how to do it. Remember getting the skull on sandbox. Bungie wanted you to create a map to go get it. Then people put it in their file share and gave it away. Ever since walk throughs were inveted its made video games less challenging. Anyone remeber playing the first Tomb Raider with out the guide. It was nearly impossible. I thank bungie for creating thonline experience that it has. Playing against other people is what makes the game unbeatable. You will always meet your match some day, either the other team will be mutch better or you'll have some rediculous noobs on your team. No body wins every game.

It's up to the players to either do this or not as it's not technically cheating. It's more of taking advantage of the situation at hand.

I got my Shotgun spree on Citadel when I got paired against AFK guests that I just spawn killed. That's not earning my spree but I thought I might as well take advantage of it.

Chances are I'm going to mess around in firefight, make my self invincible and drive warthogs intro hunters so they can launch me across the map for the lolz.

Yea that kinda bothers me but its built into the game so whatcha gunna do. I will also be getting the achv's with out using this!
