Project 86 has been a longtime favorite band of mine. Not so sure what to think about thing because the only founding member is the lead singer. I'll give it a chance though, I do like this song.

This has a little bit of everything that I love about Muse. (Epic guitars & vocals, piano, strings...) This is the first single off of The 2nd Law and it was also selected as the official song of the London Olympic Games... So if you're going to watch the Olympics you may here this song quite a bit in the next few weeks.

I can't freaking wait for their album to come out in September! Also set on seeing them live on their next trip through the US.

Woo! I also can't wait for the Muse album! I've liked all their songs after the first listen except for one (Falling Down), and that one grew on me as i kept listening to it.

I'm pretty excited for the possibility of some dubstep in their new music. I've always thought dubstep was interesting, but never really listened to it. Now i might!

BT is one of the few modern artists that I still follow, pretty pumped for this album. If you've never heard of them they're kind of punk/rocky. I've never really been able to pin down the reasons why I like them, the main ones are probably the guitarist's awesome backup vocals... and hair.

Yes, this song is not their best. But I think I will still end up 5-starring it in itunes. i bet it will grow up on me.

EDIT: upon further blargyness, the song has grown up on me and is on repeat mode. Muse is amazing. Best band ever!

Here is an extended look at The 2nd Law - Unsustainable that was teased in the album trailer I posted a while back. Love the strings. I still think it's amazing Matt can play dubstep on his guitar. I freaking LOVE the point where the strings blend with the drums (around 2:00). This video is a free download for people who pre-order the new album.

Maybe I should start a Muse thread so Criporc & I don't turn this into a Muse thread. I agree Criporc that their new & different music does grow on me the more I listen to it. I wasn't totally into Survival when I first heard it but now I love it. I'm going to give Madness a few more listens.

Just listened to this album on Spotify. This is my favorite song on the album.

Thursday, some friends took me to the House of Blues to see a band called Matt & Kim. I had never heard their music before Thursday, and I was pleasantly surprised to find how much I enjoyed it. They recently released a new album called Lightning.

Their breakout song back in 2009 was Daylight. It's a very fun song:




I bought all three of their albums on Friday. I have not regretted the purchase.
