I basically live of whatever my mum cooks me when she can cook. If she doesn't cook anything than it's lots and lots of canned food and pot noodle.

Do you not believe in cooking?

I believe in living and not doing things likely to get me killed or burned to death due to lack of skill.

It's really not that difficult. You already know how to boil water with all of your tea drinking (even if it is in an electric kettle). :)

Yeah, glad you included that bit in the brackets because I tried doing a normal kettle and I always over boil or something. I mean I can barely, cook pasta... it never comes out right.

Obviously, this means you need to get on it. Cooking is a great skill to have (and the ladies/fellas love a man that can cook).

Here is a 4lb pork butt I did up in the crock pot last night for a New Year's party today. First try at it, but it looks damn good and the smell... ohh my..

Spoiler: show
8PM last night.

8AM this morning.

15 minutes later.

It's not quite done yet. Going to leave it stew in the juices for a while, and then put it on "Warm" a few hours before I head to the party to reduce some of the juices.

PS: If anyone has any good slaw recipes for BBQ, let me know!

That looks delicious! Wish I was headed to your place for NYE.

As for slaw - it's in the eye of the beholder. Do you want a creamy base (which tends to be sweeter) or a vinegar based slaw?

Generally I prefer a more vinegary traditional slaw. That said, I do like sweet slaw's that are fruit based, like found on stuff like fish taco's. Some I've had (but not made) are apple slaw, mango and cilantro slaw.. so on.

If you wanted to do separate threads with the recipes, I would certainly not object.

Love them or hate them, they do good food. Chick Fil A recently retired their cole slaw and did an odd thing. they posted the recipe on the internet for people to make when they wanted... so here ya go Big

Chick-fil-A Cole Slaw
(Makes 6-8 servings)

4 teaspoons vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup mayonnaise
2 bags (10 oz bags) find shredded cabbage, chopped to 1/8 inch
1/4 cup finely chopped carrots

Whisk vinegar, sugar, mustard, and salt together until sugar is dissolved. Add mayonnaise and whisk to mix. Add cabbage and carrots. Mix to combine. Refrigerate 2 hours and serve.
