OK so I know I have'nt posted in this section in a while. Its just that when you work around beer and alcohol all day long you kina want to unwind to something else. Well here is what I have been working on for the last month and it is going down tomorrow night. Here's my press release. No this is'nt an add and to prove it any one who shows up from this site, their first pint is on me!
7:00 pm Thursday, January 20th 2011 Pint Night at Pack's Tavern, in Asheville, NC, featuring Duck Rabbit Brewery
any one who buys a Duck Rabbit beer will get a souvenir glass to take home
Duck Rabbit Brewery has been crafting fabulous beer in Farmville, North Carolina since 2004
They are the Dark Beer Specialists making them the obvious choice for a cold winter's pint night!
Beers that will be featured
The Duck-Rabbit Milk Stout is a traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). The subtle sweetness imparted by the lactose balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains which give this delicious beer its black color. 5.7% ABV
The Duck-Rabbit Amber Ale is a medium bodied beer with a lovely tawny copper or bronze color. This brew emphasizes malt complexity with layered caramel malt flavors. 5.5% ABV
A vintage keg from last years batch of The Duck-Rabbit Barleywine Ale. This keg has been lost in a warehouse for over a year and should be just right for the tasting! 11% ABV (update 1/18/11 just tapped this tonight and OMG is it good)
And of course The Firkin. The Folks at Duck-Rabbit are preparing something special for our first firkin. They are taking their Duck-Rabbit Porter and aging it in a whiskey barrel for a couple of months. They will then use that to fill a cask for us. 9% ABV
Music that night will be the acoustical sounds of Scott Raines and Jeff Anders
