The idea of designer babies has always irked me. Removing diseases before birth is basically just a form of treatment and will be great. Actually deciding what another human being should look like or more. No way.

Isaac Arthur is continuing the Upward Bound series with planetary colonization episodes. The latest one focused on Mars. It's pretty interesting. He discusses the broad options for colonization people will have, which include living in spinning habitats above the planet, living inside arcologies carved out of the mountains, living in giant domes, terraforming the planet, bioforming ourselves, and more.
