Woot! Tattoos are awesome, and yours looks great! What does it mean to you?
I always find that such a strange question - that there's this expectation that a tattoo [b]must[b] have some deep meaning. No one ever asks what meaning my rings or necklaces have. I think it's fair that some people just want to decorate their bodies or show their fandoms, or whatever without attributing some deeper story behind it. Plus, the things we think are totally meaningful in our youth may be proven untrue as we age. So, when one is like ~20, and they're putting The Fault in Our Stars quotes on their rib cage because [insert reason here], they may regret that decision in 10 years when they realize that idea(l) no longer applies. Maybe someone just really likes pineapples so s/he gets a pineapple tattoo (no censorship) - no long story about how the pineapple represents his/her soul and how s/he is a hard exterior, but there's a lot of sweetness inside ... yadda yadda yadda. Nope, s/he just likes pineapples. /rant
With that said, mandalas are used as a form of meditation by some Buddhists. There is symmetry in the art, and the process is about centering. I wanted something to remind me to focus inward, or ground myself (I don't really know how to explain it). I wanted to use the tattoo process as part of a "meditation," and, ultimately, have a nice decoration for the trouble.
