Re: Dark Souls 2

Finally beat Dark Souls the 1st, at least now I can feel worthy of giving 2 a try. Who'd have thought they'd let you riposte the final boss? I'm not sure I like it when game developers spend an entire game crushing your efforts in one area and then suddenly that area is the secret to one fight. I gu...

Re: E3 recap

Interested in: BF4 Titanfall Destiny Dark Souls 2 I'm weirdly less interested in Elder Scrolls Online because it's apparently an MMORPG. I think that's the wrong way to take it, they should have done a co-op more like Borderlands or Fable II where players have their own worlds and others can join in...

Re: Some more detail on XBox One

This is weird, I never expected them to back down on any of that crap, let alone most of it. I'm glad for the removal of the 24-hour check-in (Obviously), as I said a couple times I had more or less made my peace with every other piece of the controversy. Didn't care much about DRM, didn't care much...

Re: Some more detail on XBox One

Before the longest portion of my post I thought I should distinguish between the Xbone's 24-hour offline killswitch and the XBOne's advanced gaming computing online awesomeness: I understand that the thing draws power from the internet, my problem stems from the offline killswitch. The difference is...

Re: Some more detail on XBox One

Always Online My issue with the "Always Online" thing is not that it's always online, it's that if you go offline for 24 hours your gaming system shuts the f*** down . No request for permission, no "remind me later," just *OFF*. Were I to buy an Xbone, I would buy it for gaming....

Re: Games for Gold

They're free for a limited time, and when you go to download one they inform you of some restrictions. Basically the license is tied to the Xbox to which you initially download them and your gamertag, which is the case with most downloads. However it's handled like a "purchase," just free,...

Re: Some more detail on XBox One

Some nice points there. The whole internet connected thing should bother me a lot more than it does - I guess I'm not so concerned about my internet connection that I see it being a problem for me. And perhaps I'm in the majority on that and they can get away with alienating a few people. (And mayb...

Titanfall

Anyone else interested in this? In addition to enjoying Infinity Ward's previous work and feeling it was besmirched by subsequent work done without the same guys, I just like how they're doing this game. You get mechs, but they move like foot soldiers. Gameplay that emphasizes mobility and multiple ...

Re: Some more detail on XBox One

I can't imagine buying a gaming console that prohibits me from playing if I don't get permission online every 24 hours. I find the idea impossibly ridiculous. Why would you spend 500 dollars on something that has a built-in kill-switch if you deny it internet access? You're not buying it you're rent...

Re: Monday BTB Infinity...

I disliked Slayer Pro in BTB when I played it. In addition to the removal of the motion tracker being extremely annoying for anyone who wants to use vehicles (Me), the pre-set loadouts took me by surprise every time and I never had time to actually weigh one against the other. Also it was of course ...

Games for Gold

From the dashboard: Games > Browse Games > Games for Gold Apparently they opened this service with Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3, which disappointed me when I loaded mine up and could only get Fable 3. I guess when they say "for a limited time" they mean "today." Many of you alre...

Re: Fable

I recommend immediately hiking through darkwood to Oaktown (The village from the origin story) or whatever, sacrificing the merc there at the right time at the temple of skorm, and THEN choosing good or evil. I typically ended up doing what I wanted, and then switching some things around to end up b...

Re: Weapon Rebalancing on the Horizon

I've never understood or agreed with the "Golden Triangle" "Three Pillars" guns/grenades/melee BS that I've seen coughed up over and over again on forums. I do not want 3 types of grenades and 3 melee weapons (Including fists) on equal footing with the dozens of guns. I know as f...

Re: Weapon Rebalancing on the Horizon

Emphasis on them being PROPOSED changes, nothing set in stone:

BR made 4-shot kill with slower RoF
Carbine made 7-shot kill
Lightrifle's aim assist increased to match DMR's
Automatics get damage boosts all around

Mantis and Warthog chaingun get damage boosts

Beam Rifle aim assist decreased

Weapon Rebalancing on the Horizon

Feels so good! Feels so Good! http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/28189-weapon-balancing-details-breakdown-4-shot-br-returns/ kxfXkJ8Y8ng I know I haven't seen a lot of familiar names on the 343industries.org and HaloWaypoint forums, but I spent a LOT of time fighting for exactly these changes ...
